What motivates you to do frustrating optional quests or tasks?

If there is an optional quest or task that you find frustrating, what makes you complete it (if you do)?

Sometimes I’ll do it to make sure I don’t miss content or lore of some kind. Other times I’ll do it because I’m a completionist.

I have come across quests and tasks that have been optional but if I complete it, I will get a reward in game. If there is a reward for completing the optional quest or task, that will usually motivate me to want to complete it, no matter how stressful it gets.
