Bizdustry Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 What's a game you didn't expect to enjoy but ended up liking? Was it fairly recently you played? What in specific made you like it?
killamch89 Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 Animal Crossing during lockdown was a revelation - I thought it would be boring and childish, but it became my daily meditation and social connection with friends during isolation.
Scorpion Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 A game I unexpectedly loved was Vampire Survivors, played recently. Its addictive, chaotic fun and constant progression hooked me. Simple yet brilliant!
Anders Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I didn't really expect to like Persona 5 going in, as up until that point, turn based combat really wasn't my thing, but the asthetic of the game really made me want to play it, and I ended up absolutely loving it. I still haven't actually beaten it, but I put over 100 hours into it.
StaceyPowers Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 I'm not sure it counts, because by the time I bought it, I had high hopes that I'd love it, but Outer Wilds. The reason I'm mentioning it is because I usually shy away from puzzles in games, and the whole time loop concept sounded fatiguing and frustrating to me the first time I heard of Outer Wilds. But it wasn't at all, and I did end up loving the game.
