Jerlene Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Today was election day for us Americans. Did you go out there and actually vote? Who did you vote for and why? By the looks of it, people still didn't learn. We will sadly continue to have a Republican Congress.
killamch89 Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Not American so I didn't vote but personally, I vote for logical and reasonable ways to fix the pressing issues that a country has. Not some emotional speech by Political leaders because they have no intention of going through with it when elected.

Lol Any form of accountability scares them no matter what country you are from. Term limits is an absolute must - it is a shame most countries don't have such a policy in place as it prevents the Politicians from milking the system for as long as they seem fit.
mont86 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Over the years some candidates "talk limits" but nothing ever happens .. lol

Herschie Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 We have an election coming up in Chicago soon. Reminds me that I have to try to vote out our scumbag alderman, he wants to increase "affordable housing" in the area.
Herschie Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 (edited) Let this be a lesson; get. Out.And. Vote! My alderman was such a scumbag. His name was John Arena, and we would be here all night if I explained why. Basically the epitome of corrupt Chicago politics, and he was alderman of the 45th Ward. Well, because people got out and voted, Mr. Arena was defeated in a landslide! So, don't be shy. At the very least I was able to bitch about Obama for 8 years because I got out and voted for the late McCain in 2008, and Romney in 2012. Edited March 1, 2019 by Herschie Autocorrect
