StaceyPowers
Are video games a form of art? To me this is an obvious "yes," but I have very broad definitions of what constitutes art, and have noticed a lot of people take video games less seriously than they do books or movies, all because they are, ... well, games. But I don't see why that makes them less significant. Bringing interactivity into a story can make it even more compelling than the passive act of watching a film or reading a book. kingpotato
By dictionary definition "Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination".It may not fall under classic art like music or painting, but gaming is definitively art. skyfire
I think in terms of graphics we can say that it is kind of art form. But not all the time it can be good to say an art. I think the experience it offers can be said to be an art and not science. Because you may get nostalgia from simple game and may not feel the same vibe from the graphically rich game. So it is definitely an art of some type. And it definitely varies on many points as well.
