I can understand your decision, we have had so many times with console releases that consoles have had issues and we always seem to get burned somehow. Waiting is very much the better option. I was toying with the idea of pre-ordering but chose against it and will wait a little.

5G I feel is going to be a game changer when it comes to handheld gaming, especially with cloud gaming which at the moment, we know does have some issues. I don't think we are going to know exactly how much of a game changer it will be until it rolls out fully but I am certainly looking forward to seeing 5G in action on handheld devices.

What do you think makes a Nintendo handheld game truly memorable?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Nintendo
Engaging gameplay and gameplay that keeps me immersed is always what I feel makes a Nintendo Handheld game truly memorable. I love how Nintendo is great at making their games not only engaging but also immersive too, so much so that it keeps me playing. -
It’s sickening. Beetlejuice 2 was an abomination with little to no relation to the original that was filmed 30 FUCKING YEARS AGO. And don’t even get me started on Nosferatu. I mean what’s next? Are they going to remake The Wizard Of Oz? Who’s going to play Dorothy? Lucy Hale? Jennifer Lawrence? Sandra Bullock? Emma Watson? The list is extensive. It’s even moreso than male actors. Then we have the scarecrow, tin man, cowardly lion, and the wizard. Does anyone actually want to see something like that? How about Gone With The Wind, or Casablanca? Maybe we should remake all the Dirty Harry movies, or everything Sen Connery was ever in. Where does it end?

What Xbox Series or Game Franchise Would You Like to See More Spin-offs For?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Xbox
A spin-off from the Halo series would be amazing to see. I am actually quite surprised we have not seen some kind of spin-off from the Halo series as of yet being that it is one of the most popular games from Xbox. There is so much they could do with a Halo spin-off, especially with the Halo world we all know and love. -

I wouldn't say that Phil Spencer is a terrible Xbox CEO. If it was not for Phil Spencer, we may not be where we are now with Xbox and gaming being available for so many more people. Phil Spencer wanted to aim to make gaming accessible for everyone and so far, he has made that happen with Xbox Cloud and also Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.

Rumors are going around that Grand Theft Auto IV is getting the remaster treatment and we'll see it released this year for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is of course no confirmation that it's happening, just rumors. But if true, I will gladly give it another go after all these years. More on this can be found here - https://www.eurogamer.net/grand-theft-auto-4-for-ps5-xbox-series-xs-reportedly-in-development-could-release-this-year

I have to jump in line with you and agree, I am too confused as to what their focus is at the moment and I personally feel, they too are just as confused as we are as gamers. I would love to see Xbox come forward with what their focus is so that we are all on the same page instead of being all over the place like we are now.

I have to also agree and say Lost Odyssey. The story in itself was in a league of it's own, and the character development was just on another level! Lost Odyssey was overlooked by so many which was such a shame.

I heard Valve has plans to release a Steam Deck 2 at some point. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a current Steam Deck, but if there is a new one coming eventually, should I just wait out the release for the SD2? Unless I can find myself a good deal on it, I think I might just wait. But when do you think we can expect the Steam Deck 2? Do you think it will release somewhat sooner rather then later? Or will we be waiting a few more years?

Over the years, Microsoft and Xbox have made big changes to their UI and as someone who has always been a huge fan of Xbox, I have noticed a huge difference in how much easier it is to now set up your new Xbox without running into issues or problems. I remember it used to be a pain to set up and get into your account but now, the process is so simple, you can be playing a game within 20 minute or less.

I do like how much they offer to Game Pass subscribers at the moment but I can't help but feel that Xbox could offer so much more to their subscribers, especially since the price has increased by a lot over the years. I would love to see more perks offered for Game Pass Subscribers as well as more early beta access or even just beta access opportunities too. Sneak peeks would be an awesome addition I feel.

What’s one Xbox game that you think innovated in ways no other title has?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Xbox
One game that I feel stands out when it comes to Xbox would have to be Portal (2007). This game was not an Xbox exclusive but it was definitely a game that was popular on the Xbox. I loved how Portal completely reimagined narrative delivery and spatial puzzles. -
What’s one Xbox game that you believe will stand the test of time?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Xbox
Halo for sure on this one with Gears of War being a very close second for me. Halo has been a favourite of many since the release of the very first Halo with many I know now still playing Halo Infinite. I can't think of one thing that would make it so that Halo could not stand the test of time. -
What’s your favorite Xbox exclusive for its unique storyline?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Xbox
This one has to be Halo for me. Halo has such a unique storyline as well as a unique setting for their games as well. I have enjoyed every Halo game since the first one and the story has just been amazing and one I became hooked on throughout. -
What game do you think best captures the spirit of adventure?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
From what I have heard from many, Elden Ring seems to be the one that captures the spirit of adventure. Many have commented on the constant danger and awe when you are playing the game which I agree, adds a lot to the game and makes the game more immersive. -
It is great to see that Game Informer is making a comeback. It was a shock that they shut down after 30 years and I know many, including myself were upset to see them go. It seems they may have just needed a breather and are coming back bigger and better!

Xbox handheld reportedly being made with Asus, to compete with Steam Deck
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I am looking forward to seeing the handheld from Xbox. I have long said I would love to see a handheld console from Xbox and it finally seems as though this may be happening. I know that I read that images were leaked of the Xbox handheld console and from what I have seen, it looks good so far, we just need an announcement which I hope is coming soon. -
Rumors - Half-Life 3 is being Playtested Ahead of a Possible Summer Reveal
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I have been seeing this a lot, there seems to be a lot of rumours at the moment going around, so I agree, we should be taking it with a pinch of salt at this point. It would be nice to see a Half-Life 3 announced but not something to get hopes up about as it could only lead to disappointment. -
I remember playing the Witcher 3 but I didn't play it for very long at all. It is a game I would love to go back to though when I have the time and play through. I think it is great they are doing something for their 10-year anniversary 🙂 it allows them to celebrate with the fans and for the fans to be able to celebrate with one another.

Gears of War: Reloaded - Remaster coming for Xbox and PS5
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This is awesome to see. I love how they are now making more games available on all consoles rather than just keeping them exclusives, it gives everyone a chance to play their games regardless of their preferred console. I am a huge fan of Gears of War so will be picking this up 🙂 -
Deadzone: Rogue now offers an offline single-player mode
Shortie replied to Heatman's topic in Gaming News
I am glad to see that they now offer a single player mode. Not everyone is interested in multiplayer or online modes and most want to be able to play online and enjoy the game on their own so this is a great move for Prophecy Games. I do wonder if we may see other game developers follow in suit? - Yesterday
