  1. I tend to sit a lot when gaming, but I know I probably should be moving around more instead of sitting in one place for a long period of time. I was curious if anyone here likes to stand sometimes while gaming? I was thinking about getting myself a standing desk, just so I have to stand up and work instead of sitting all day. I figure I could work this into gaming as well. I think it's a great thing to do to promote better health, but I don't think I can stand for long hours. But, it's good to move around a bit after gaming.
  2. It's also because studios aren't given as much time as they need to make games. So when they are given a deadline and it's a deadline the company can't break, it causes a lot of stress on the employees, as they have to rush to get a job done. Which also results in glitches and problems. As we've seen with the GTA trilogy remaster.
  3. There isn't that many celeb involvement with video games. There has been of course some actors making the jump to gaming. Keanu Reeves was in Cyberpunk 2077, Bruce Willis in Apocalypse. Michael Jackson in Moonwalker, Samuel L. Jackson in GTA San Andreas and so on. I'm not saying celebs don't show up or do voice acting in games, but it feels relatively small in terms of how many celebs have worked in games. Why don't we see more celebs taking roles in video games? Is it a money thing? I know voice actors don't make a ton, so maybe that's partly why.
  4. Psychonauts 2 came out fairly recently and it took the team behind it years to make happen. But, it finally released and fans were happy with the end result. With that being said, do you think Psychonauts 3 will happen? And if it does, will it release a lot faster than the second game? A trilogy of the series would be cool, but I could see them doing spin-offs of the games as well.
  5. The majority of gamers probably won't be able to hit 600 hours. It'll only be the hardcore gamers who intentionally go for these NFTs. I don't have the dedication to do that myself. I barely have time for most games these days, so not going to entertain the idea of gaming that long for something that probably won't pay off in the long run anyway. Ubisoft already is, and I'm willing to bet EA is going to jump into the fray as well.
  6. 2021 was a year full of controversies, from Ubisoft knowing about sexual assault allegations, Activision and Blizzard doing the same, and allowing their CEO to stay on after he knew as well. The release of GTA trilogy, Gamestop stock fiasco and more. This year has been a mess, and that's not just because of covid. Gaming companies are being awful to their developers, their employees, and to the gamers out there. Gaming companies seem to only care about themselves and their bottom dollar. They will let a CEO like Bobby Kotick stay in power, all the while people under him have been hurt. I hope 2022 is a change of pace and a change to the way studios are running things. Because if we don't do anything, 2022 will just be another year of blunders that big time studios continue to make. 7. idk, my Xbox One beeps at startup and I actually kinda like it. I imagine I'd like the beep the PS4 makes at startup. I've heard it before and honestly it's kinda soothing if that makes sense. A lot of the time, startup sounds relax me. It was the same way with the Windows themes when you turn the PC on back in the day.
  8. Do you guys ever bother with the cheap peripherals out there? Third party peripherals is one thing, but the discount crappy, or cheap peripherals is what we're talking about. Like the weird bootleg PS3 controllers you can get on many sites, that are just made of cheap plastic and barely any other material. I rarely buy cheap peripherals unless I know full well the device works. If it's cheap, it has to work, but also not be too cheap to the point it'd break after a few uses. I will sometimes buy the PDP controllers, they're pretty decent, but really cheap from what I recall. But, for the most part, it gets the job done for controllers. But, what are some cheaply made peripherals that are actually decent and worth the money?

    Swat games

Do you guys have any recommendations for swat style games? I know there are some games simply titled Swat, and I hear those are pretty decent games, but are there any others you guys know of? I heard of a game called Ready or Not, which is a swat sim style game where it is a realistic tactical shooter. You have to make decisions on the fly, it's quite entertaining. Check out SomeOrdinaryGamers video on it.
  10. I think GTA IV had the best drunk movement and walk. GTA V has something like it, but it's not nearly as funny as what it was like in GTA IV. I wish drunk animation was more realistic and it made gameplay even tougher, much like how it was with GTA IV and V. RDR2 did drunk gameplay pretty good too, but idk, it didn't feel as funny as GTA IV's was. I hate when some games just make the screen shake. Maybe the body ragdoll, and have trouble moving around. idk, it's funner that way imo.
  11. Do you ever think that Facebook will jump into console making? They have already gotten their own VR headset, have a marketplace for games and apps, have so much other options and then some. SO I could see Facebook attempting to start their own console. Plus, they are doing their VR world thing, so that could tie into a video game if they wanted to. But the key problem here, is Facebook. I don't know if anyone would buy a console made by Facebook. Would you?
  12. Have you guys ever made friends, either it be through your time in school, or maybe it's from gaming online. For me, I met most of my friends in real life, during school, college, and just living near each other. I have a few online friends as well, but I haven't met any of them in person yet. There was one guy my brother and I gamed with on Xbox live years ago, and we had invited him to my brothers grad party, but he didn't show up. I currently work for an online community and do voice chat meetings daily, I'm fast becoming friends with them, but I don't know if I'm comfortable enough to actually meet them in person.
  13. What are the most complex point and click adventure games you ever played? For me it was probably one of the Monkey Island games. I tried to get through one of the games, but got stuck. I gave up soon after. Though probably not the complex, it was enough for me to quit lol. But, what are some even more complex point and click adventure games? Ones that are so complex, that you have to do certain things in the game to make something work.
  14. What are some good indie stealth games? I've been wanting to try more of the indie stuff in terms of stealth. I was thinking of getting Little Nightmares, that's kinda like a stealth game right? What are some other stealth games you'd recommend checking out? Maybe there are some similar to Hitman?
  15. L.A. Noire comes to mind right away for me, but what are some other crime scene investigation style games you'd recommend? I know of the many CSI games based off the show, but are there any others out there worth checking out? Any newer releases? What are some games that you like in the genre?
  16. What are some games you found to be impressive due to their art and quality? I'm thinking of games like Okami, Cup Head, and a few others that utilize more of an artistic feel rather than technical. Okami I played a little bit with a friend, and I remember the art style being so unique and special for the time. On top of it being a PS2 title and Gamecube title (I think) it looked great on each console, and has aged fairly well to this day. Then you got that Journey game on the PS3. But what are some other really artistic games that you remember playing? I think that Mickey Mouse game comes to mind too, but I forgot the name.
  17. Watchdogs Legion was the most recent game in the series, and I have yet to play it. I hear it's on sale though, so I may be checking it out soon here. Anyway, Watchdogs 2 is one of my favorite games. But, what do you think the team behind Watchdogs will do for a future game? Do you think we'll see a continuation of Legion? Or maybe we'll get a new character to play as or maybe we'll get a whole new story with a whole new cast and location. What do you want to see Watchdogs do next?
  18. Did you guys ever play this game? I remember a demo for it ages ago, but I don't remember if I played it. I just remember seeing an article for the game in a magazine years ago, and thinking that video games are getting weird and crazy lol. Did you guys ever play this game? I would love to see them try a remake, even though I never played, I could see myself checking out a sequel game. Would you like to see Mister Mosquito get a sequel? Here's some gameplay to refresh your memory:
  19. Source https://gamerant.com/call-of-duty-vanguard-bioluminescence-blueprint-outrage-complaints/ Pretty much what is going on here, is that Call of Duty released a new gun blueprint that was of Bioluminescence and it was supposed to shine. And get this, the blueprint is priced at £20, which equals out to nearly $27 USD. Anyway, the gun didn't glow in game, and had some other issues that gamers were unhappy about. For $27 I'd be pissed too. I'd be pissed with spending that much on a gun in game. Why does Activision and all these studios get away with charging so much for skins and weapons? Kinda makes me not want to play these games anymore.
  20. Part of me thinks that could happen, but I have my doubts. Mainly because it needs to be able to encompass what we as a human race want. I think a VR world like that is a while away, but I can see it happening eventually.
  21. Hows does it pick up crumbs and other debris from a keyboard for example? I've been debating on taking apart my hyperx keyboard to clean it, but I don't really feel like taking it apart and cleaning it when I could get a cheap vacuum or something to clean it out. If the one you have cleans well, can you link it to me?
  22. L.A. Noire is a solid crime noire, I highly recommend it if you like games where you can investigate and solve crimes. It also has a really decent story. Also, it's fun messing around and getting the bad prompts from people you interrogate. I really need to replay it here soon.
  23. I heard that it's not good to turn PCs off and on too much. I usually keep my PC on at all times, but put it in sleep mode when I'm not using it. I hear it's safer on your PC to start up from sleep anyway. For sure. Better not to risk it. Whenever my PC gets pretty loud, I like to calm it down on the strenuous activity.
  24. Yeah split screen can be annoying. I'd much prefer having two tvs set up to game on against others, but that's easier said than done. Not all of us own multiple TVs to game with. Anyway, split screen does eat up a lot of screen, especially if you're gaming on a small screen to begin with. But I still have nostalgia from split screen gaming back in the day. And I get that. I too get anxiety when it comes to playing online games, especially if I'm joining a game lobby/world that I don't know anyone in.
  25. It would be a bad thing to see happen honestly. China is known for holding their studios back, so who knows how this will change Turtle Rock's games. Yup, may they rest in peace, and never be forgotten. Maybe the studio hires will drop out of the company and pursue other ventures.
