I think it's an amazing deal on paper but don't have an XB1 to try it out (I sold mine last year). May pick up a XB1 Slim sometime as they're often super cheap. Will try it then.

I'm pretty sure I've explored almost all of Skyrim. To me, the most beautiful locations to revisit just to look around now and again are:
· Eldergleam Sanctuary, especially if it’s around 6-7 in the morning, when the light comes through all golden.
· Markarth. I hate the politics of the place (I’m a fan of the Forsworn, wear their armor, and self-identify as one on every playthrough), but the design of the city is absolutely gorgeous. The scenery of the Reach is beautiful as well.
· That area with the geysers that is south of Windhelm.
· That bridge with the towers that’s near Whiterun, with the bandits that want to charge you a “toll.” I love the view from the towers.
· The spot in the marshes where you can build Windstad Manor.
· The Rift. All of it, but especially up by Froki’s Shack.
· There’s a sort of “outdoor dungeon” area not far from Froki’s Shack with amazing view of the Throat of the World. I can’t recall the name, but the view is awesome.
· Once while I was watching someone else play, they found this really cool dungeon which was outdoors and featured a lot of greenery, but you enter through a cave to get there? I have no clue where it was. If anyone can identify it, please let me know. I’ve never found it myself.
What are your favorite spots in Skyrim?
Gonna boot up Skyrim later this week and check out all these places to remind myself! Thanks for this 🙂

My vote would go to Skyrim or even Oblivion (even though both can be a wee bit janky at times). Both have amazing vistas that beg for you to just stop and gawk at.
Also, some games are beautiful *stylistically*, like LIMBO or INSIDE.

So far I'm going to have to say Persona 5, though I got some other games waiting that will prove worthwhile.
I really want to play Persona 5 (I loved Persona 4 Golden on Vita) but it's such a *huge* time commitment. Seriously, the thought of a 100+ hour JRPG gives me anxiety atm. I still need to finish 4, honestly. I'm like 40 hours into 4, so maybe I should go back to that before pulling the trigger on P5.

I usually play COD campaigns on Normal/Hardened, but if I haven't got much time and want to breeze through it (maybe there are lots of other games I want to play at that time) I'm happy to breeze through it on Easy. Everyone's different, though, I guess.

The last new games I picked up were Bad North and Into The Breach on Switch. Both badass strategy games, though Into The Breach is a hell of a lot deeper. Need to get Spider-Man at some point, too. Maybe when I see it in a sale.

I think if done properly game of thrones could be a very huge game series. Which given its popularity I'm surprised it hasn't gotten a huge game.
Telltale made a Game Of Thrones game but it's definitely one of their weaker series. I agree, though, some kind of Oblivion or The Witcher-esque Game Of Thrones RPG would be dope as hell.

I love a mix of genres tbh but I often gravitate towards RPGs, horror, FPSs and experimental indies. I'd give any game a fair shake, though.

I'm sure Ready Player One would lend itself well to a video game thanks to its plethora of pop culture nods. Also, Stephen King's IT, The Shining and The Mist would make awesome horror games.
On that thought, why the heck hasn't there been a proper Stephen King video game adaptation??

I've spent a ton of time on both but I naturally gravitate towards console gaming for convenience and because that's where most of my friends are.

I think TT are a super talented developer but their engine is definitely antiquated. Loads of gamers' saves got eaten in Tales From The Borderlands, for example. Those sorts of bugs are unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of their games and I loved TFTB, The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and even enjoyed the first season of Minecraft Story Mode. That said, TT need to invest in upgrading their engine and giving the backend a polish. The engine has been showing its age for a long while and the longer they leave it, the more people will bounce from their games and not come back.

Last weapon I used was a pulse rifle in AvP. I think I'll be okay as long as I've got access to an unlimited supply of ammo lol

Honestly, I'm pretty worried about Battlefield 5 this year. That delay is only going to make things worse.

Off the top of my head, mine's an old ALIENWARE x51:-
Intel core i5 cpu
Nvidia GTX 660 1.5GB
8 GB DDR4 RAM
1TB HDD 7200RPM
Yeah, I think I need to upgrade it...

I know Nintendo do this, but didn't realise Sony did. Is it just a US thing? Us Europeans always get stiffed with stuff like this.

I picked up Friday The 13th: The Game without realising it didn't really have much of a single-player component (I don't have PS Plus atm as I'm a bit broke -- when I fancy playing online I just end up booting up the ol' PS3 to get my online fix). Long story short, I was really disappointed with my purchase of F13th The Game. I'm sure it's fun online, though.
Dead By Daylight is supposed to be pretty good. But my favourite horror games of the last few years are more single-player experiences like Resident Evil 7, Outlast, Detention, Lone Survivor, Silent Hill 2 etc. Not sure if those count, though! 🙂

Yes! I love RPGs. Any mobile ones that are worth pulling the trigger on? Ideally on iOS?

God of War for me so far. But Red Dead 2 has a chance to beat it.
Aye, God Of War is gonna be tough to beat, for sure. Red Dead 2 is a likely candidate. Just wish I was more into the western genre and Rockstar Games in general, personally. But I'm sure it's gonna be amazing for those looking forward to it.

I'm pretty sure mine will be Valkyria chronicles 4 for PS4.
Ashamedly, I must admit that I've not played a Valkyria Chronicles title yet, but I only hear good things about the franchise. I love its watercolour painting aesthetic. Must put it on the to-do list!

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really enjoyed both Alien: Covenant and Prometheus. What did everyone else think of these sci-fi horror flicks?
-
Man, I'd be all over an N64 mini. I have SNES mini and I love it but truthfully the N64 is a console that I always wanted but was always too broke to buy. I'm sure Ninty will release one, one day.

Xbox One X
in Xbox
On 8/25/2018 at 7:07 AM, Demon_skeith said:Nope and never will. Microsoft is lacking a serious library of software to back up their consoles and what do they do? They launch a stronger piece of hardware with still no solid backing of games to their name. It's foolish.
Aye, I 100% agree with this. If MS had a decent library of games or had some really notable games in the works for the Xbox One then I'd consider it. Unfortunately, it really looks like MS is simply focusing its energy on putting infrastructure in place for the next gen. MS know they've lost this gen so I think that they're looking ahead at the next console now so they can hit the ground running. Releasing the Xbox One X wasn't the best idea but, hey, it's still an impressive piece of hardware. I just wish it had the games to back it up with.

Some great deals on PSN right now but one that caught my eye was a JRPG called Battle Chasers: Nightwar for £7.49 (£9.99 for those without PS Plus like me). Not played it yet personally, but I've only heard good things. Thought I'd give all you JRPG enthusiasts out there a heads up! 🙂

Super Mario World on SNES.
But also have some obscure Amstrad CPC 464 games like Fantasy World Dizzy, Bomb Jack etc.
