  1. Instead of the original xbox, if Sega survived the console wars, do you think a true sega-branded successor to the Dreamcast would've been a better option? Or do you like how things played out with the xbox? Originally, Sega wanted the Xbox to be backwards compatible w/ the Dreamcast but Microsoft pulled out of that deal and it never happened.

Do you think a true Sega-backed Dreamcast successor would've done better? Would they still be making consoles today?

THQ Nordic is actually publishing it with Yuke's developing. It's funny, because THQ was the original publisher of WWF No Mercy and the other WWF/WCW games on the 64. This is a new THQ, but it's still cool to see how times have come full circle in a way. To see THQ and Yukes on a wrestling game again, is kinda exciting. 🙂

My thoughts exactly. I'm super pumped for this one. I'll definitely have to drop a pre-order when a date is announced.

  3. I'm pretty sure a lot of companies no longer want to pay for QA testers which is why so many games release in such a buggy & broken state. The consumer has become a free QA tester where the CONSUMER pays to beta test/report issues with the game at launch, rather than the game being released as bug-free as possible like it was back in the old days.

That's fair. You could get the current PS4 VR and play Hitman 3 VR that way. But I understand wanting to wait for the new VR headset to drop, as it'd probably be worth it to just wait for the new one anyway. Would be nice if the new VR headset worked with the PS4 or even PC. That'd be cool.

Yeah people want it to work w/ PC. That'd be awesome. I don't got hitman on PS5 but it's often on sale cheap so picking it up to do VR wouldn't be too difficult.

I think the cheapest headset on the market is probably the Meta Quest 2. The 128gb model for example is $399. But if you want anything better, it's going to cost even more I imagine.

Yeah. I'm not sure if I want a Quest or if I should just wait for the PSVR2 from Sony.

  6. Are you looking forward to the new game from AEW developed by Yukes Entertainment? I am 😄 I absolutely love Yukes wrestling games.

For those of you who don't know who Yukes is, they were the original developers of the Smackdown games on the PS1 and early PS2 games. They also developed WWE Attitude and WWE Royal Rumble respectively on the Sega Dreamcast.  I'm excited to see how AEW turns out.

There isn't a whole lot I'm psyched for, aside from the Silent Hill 2 Remake and the other Silent Hill projects Konami and company has in store for us. The upcoming AEW wrestling game, maybe the next WWE 2K game, but I'm hoping it's not 2K who produces it.

Aside from all of that, nothing has really hit my radar all that much. Though I'm sure I'm probably forgetting some games.

Oh man! I forgot about Yukes AEW game! Yukes was always my favorite wrestling game developer. I might have to pick up AEW  when it drops too 😄

  8. I'm a big fan of the Hitman series and recently found a youtube channel that posts clips of them playing Hitman in VR and I gotta say, it's making me wanna get a VR headset. Maybe it's my inner crazy person, but it looks fun taking out your targets in virtual reality, if I'm honest. 😄

Here's a video showing it off:

  9. Only era's/generations I missed were the first 3 as I was too young for them. My first forte into gaming was with the 4th generation, which was the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive & Super Nintendo. I haven't missed a generation since.

It's been more than 20 years, so I can't be sure, but it had to have been either Bushido Blade or Castlevania SOTN, both on PS1. I was always a Nintendo girl, so initially I didn't really pay much of any attention to PlayStation. I expected it to go the same way as Sega did. Stick around for a while, but ultimately fail. I felt the same towards Xbox.

    How wrong I was.😋

I can definitely see that. I'm still sore about my Sega. 😞

  11. Nope. Not at all. I met a lot of awesome friends, some who I consider family, through gaming online since 2007. Prior to that, I met people at arcades, the video rental shops in my area back in the day and other gaming-oriented activities, so even back in the days before online gaming, you were able to link up with other gamers, it just wasn't as easy or common as it is today, so no, being a gamer does not mean i'm 'lonely' by any means.

  12. Do you remember your original gamertag? My first experience with Xbox Live was in 2013 when I bought a 360 before the Xbox One came out.  My first gamertag was my handle here with PSO at the end of it as I ran a private server for Phantasy Star Online at the time. I since changed it twice, once to reflect my now defunct clan and my current handle.

  13. Would you ever buy a cheap desktop PC/mini PC for the sole purpose of having it be a gaming/emulation box running something like RetroArch? I see more and more people on youtube doing this nowadays. I was considering it myself at one point too, but I don't have the space to pull that off.

    Is this something you'd do?
