  1. Yeah, the whole thing is pretty unlikely as it is, but assuming they could work out something with Rare / Microsoft, then if Nintendo were to get in any hot water because of Conker's content Nintendo could always just say it was part of the deal with Microsoft or something like that, I agree though, they probably would try to leave it off to avoid any drama. But let's remember, the original Conker's Bad Fur Day was part of the Rare Replay collection that came out on Xbox One and there was also Live and Reloaded for original Xbox, so it has been re-released before. really it's just Nintendo's kid friendly image that would be the difference there, but anyway it's really all hypothetical, and i doubt any of it actually happens.
  2. yes i do, i have a great appreciation for video game music, probably even more so when it comes to retro gaming, with its hardware and other limitations, that the composers had to work with, yet so many memorable and fantastic tunes, this isn't to say i don't also appreciate modern video game music, i do, but i still think it's amazing some of the music that the NES for instance was capable of, just listen to some of the Sunsoft NES game soundtracks, take Journey to Silius for example, and consider that this is an NES game, Here is just one track from that game.
  3. I think flat-earthers distract from and are used to discredit, all the real things going on. Such non-sense is easy to debunk, but it makes everyone who doesn't believe the mainline view of things seem crazy to the average person. With anything, you should always go in skeptical and have an open mind, realize people have agendas and there are real conspiracies, but not everything is a conspiracy, people need to use a little common sense and don't get distracted by obvious rubbish.
  4. I'll start out by saying, I don't think we'll see an n64 mini anytime soon, possibly ever, but I would love it if they did decide to release one. As for a list of games, i know many of these games made by Rare which is now owned by Microsoft, so it makes them even more unlikely but not impossible, here is a list of 30 games i think should or could be on the N64 classic. The ones that are in bold are games I'd consider a long shot for licensing reasons. If something could be worked out with Microsoft / Rare then Goldeneye 007 might would be the only real longshot on this list. Super Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 Diddy Kong Racing Donkey Kong 64 Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie Star Fox 64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Perfect Dark Goldeneye 007 Mario Party Mario Party 2 Mario Party 3 Mario Golf Mario Tennis Paper Mario Dr. Mario 64 Super Smash Bros. Conker's Bad Fur Day Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Blast Corps Jet Force Gemini 1080 Snowboarding Wave Race 64 Excitebike 64 Pilot Wings 64 Pokemon Snap Yoshi's Story F-Zero X
  5. Off the top of my head, Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1-3, Castlevania 1-3, DuckTales, Ninja Gaiden 1-3, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Kirby's Adventure, Snake Rattle 'n Roll, Mega Man 2. I know i am forgetting a whole bunch of games. Duck Hunt is fun too, but i no longer have a CRT TV, so playing that on an original NES is a bit difficult nowadays, but it is available on the Wii U's virtual console and playable with a Wii remote.
  6. What i would like to see added is mostly aesthetics, since i am very familiar with Invision Power Board. having used it on a forum i owned and manged for several years, i think adding the sidebar with some useful information would look nice and be helpful too, somethings I'd put there might be Today's Birthday's and Upcoming Events (both of those only show up when there is something to show) Recent Status Updates, perhaps a list of Recent Discussions for quick access, or other relevant information and maybe have who's online, above the forum and member statistics at the bottom under all the forums. Also something else that could be enabled is the option for a different forum views, the traditional table view should be default as it is of course, but maybe enabled Fluid view as an option, that lists the topics on the index. I don't know if you guys have the Gallery and Blogs addons but something like that might be useful too. Also while I do like the default theme, having the option for a light theme beyond the IPB Default might be a nice addition. That's all i can think of right now, but i really like what you guys have here.
  7. While this isn't gaming specific obviously, many gamers do buy their physical games, consoles and accessories from Amazon, and I think they already offer this is certain regions but it looks like Amazon is in the process of swapping from Free Two Day Shipping, to Free One Day Shipping as part of Amazon Prime, here in the United States at least. So this is good news for those who have Amazon Prime. https://www.cnet.com/news/amazon-prime-two-day-shipping-drops-down-to-one-day/
  8. While i myself don't like games to be overbearingly difficult, but some do.This is how i look at things, i don't think a developer should have to change their vision of a game to make it more mainstream, if they don't want to. Whether that be something like difficulty or even things like violence or sexual content that forces a game to get a higher ESRB rating, obviously they know if they make it easier or make design changes to tone down certain content that would help open it up to a larger audience and potentially mean more sales, but for some games that might sacrifice the developers vision for the game, and at a certain level, gaming is art, but it's also business, so they have to weigh the pros and cons there, it should be their decision. As for the question, should all games be forced to have an easy mode, the answer is, no, they should not. As for whether it would be a good idea financially to offer easier difficulty levels in games then most of the time, the answer would probably be yes.
  9. I think every review must be taken as one person's opinion, whether that be a regular user or paid reviewer, everyone has their biases, some intentional, some unintentional, collectively user reviews can be helpful but even that is not infallible, that's why it's important to get as many different opinions as possible from as many sources as possible, if your on the fence about something. With review bombing, both negative and in the case with Ubisoft and Assasin's Creed Unity, positive, reviews might not always be indicative of the game itself, but of the company or companies behind it, so take each review individually and see if they have valid reasoning for their review, mostly any "review bombed" review can be easily identified, so if the reasons behind a game being review bombed aren't a concern to you, then ignore those reviews. As for the practice of review bombing, mostly of which is used negatively, i understand and like the idea of customers having a voice, and it has an effect to be sure, it also does help make others aware if there are some major issues, they might not have been aware of, but it also does make it more difficult for those who might not care about the issues, so perhaps there is a better way to be heard, i don't know, but it does work, as it hurts the bottom line when users are turned away by the bad reviews, and that's what companies tend to listen to, anything that hurts the bottom line. So, I think that is important too.
  10. That's true, it might be worth picking up for that reason but the same can be said for the NES and SNES Classic as well, At least in terms of how easy it is to add more games to it yourself.
  11. Sony clearly rushed out the PS Classic, i think they had dollar signs in their eyes after seeing the success of Nintendo's NES and SNES Classic consoles and wanted a quick cash in. It's a shame too, a proper PS Classic could have been really good.
  12. The AtGames ones were pretty bad, this one has potential though as its being made by Sega themselves, i look forward to seeing the rest of the included games, as for the emulation, I'm not too worried, i hear M2 is handling the emulation, and they are the ones who made the Sega ages and other classic ports for various platforms, so i think that part shouldn't be an issue, but we shall see.
  13. Who's is interested in the Sega Genesis Mini? It's coming out in September and will cost $80. The game lineup so far looks good, it will include 40 games, with half of them already announced. List of games so far... - Ecco the Dolphin - Castlevania: Bloodlines - Space Harrier 2 - Shining Force - Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Toe Jam & Earl - Comix Zone - Sonic the Hedgehog - Altered Beast - Gunstar Heroes - Earthworm Jim - Castle of Illusion - Shinobi III - Contra: Hard Corps - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - World of Illusion - Thunder Force III - Super Fantasy Zone - Streets of Rage 2 - Landstalker http://genesismini.sega.com/
  14. Forgot to post mine, but right now what i have hooked up is... ps4 pro, ps3, switch, wii u, xbox one s, xbox 360, nes classic and snes classic (which share cables), and swap out other consoles as necessary.
  15. Here goes... Nintendo: NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, Switch, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, DSi XL, 3DS XL, Virtual Boy, NES Classic, SNES Classic. Sega: Master System, Genesis, CDX, Saturn, Dreamcast. PlayStation: PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS4 Pro, PSP, Vita. Xbox: Original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S. Atari: Atari 2600 I think that's all of them, also those i no longer have are struck through, but the rest i still own. Most of the older consoles are stored away though, though usually i try to find a more modern way to play the older games, since TV space is limited, but i might break one of them out every now and then.
  16. What game consoles do you currently have hooked up?

  18. I now fully expect a Holiday 2020 PS5 release, unless there is a major surprise of some sort, it seems pretty certain, that there will be no new PS hardware this fiscal year, which goes through March of 2020. http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2019/04/sony_financials_suggest_the_ps5_wont_release_before_april_2020
  19. I would very much love for an all in one PlayStation, that would play every game released on a PlayStation console, But I've learned not to get too excited about these things, PS4 BC was expected, with the PS5, same architecture and all, so i wasn't too surprised to have heard that and there was that patent some time ago that seems to imply the other older PlayStation consoles could be BC as well, but it's still not a confirmation, there are many patents that never materialize, so i will remain skeptical until we know one way or the other for sure.
