StaceyPowers Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 So, I want to purchase the Minecraft Bedrock Edition. But I cannot seem to find it listed as such. Is this identical to simply buying “Minecraft for Windows?”

My friend says I need this edition, but maybe she only thinks that because she runs a server? I want to be able to join her server, but not necessarily host one.

egghead Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Minecraft comes in two edition, Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.Java edition is available on limited platforms, where ad bedrock is available on multiple platforms. I play Minecraft Java edition.

egghead Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 That's true, the gameplay is same what ever edition you choose. The edition is basically for the device you use while playing Minecraft. I play minecraft on PC, therefore it is Java edition.
