StaceyPowers Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Which games do you feel a player’s experience is ruined the most if they run into spoilers?
Shagger Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I thought the answer would be obvious, but narrative driven games and any game heavy on problem solving.
Scorpion Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 For me,*The Last of Us* and *Bioshock Infinite* are major ones. Those twists and emotional moments truly change without the element of surprise.
killamch89 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Narrative-driven RPGs like Disco Elysium are definitely ones to avoid spoilers for. The beauty of the game comes from how your choices influence the story, and spoilers can rob you of the surprise of how things play out based on what you decide.
HowHammerYou Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Without a doubt, the Persona series. You can't discuss anything about a Persona game aside from basic gameplay without it being a massive story spoiler. Heck, even telling someone how to save the game or get to a new area involves spoiling part of the story.
Lens Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 I believe that the games with complex narratives and emotional twists are most likely to be vulnerable to spoilers. A typical examples include The Last of Us, BioShock, and Silent Hill 2.
