How many people here learned to type by gaming?

I learned my initial typing skills in school, but I learned to type fast by gaming. Who else here learned to type in part or in full through gaming?

I have learned my initial typing skills in school as well.  However I don't think I've learned to type fast through gaming.  The games that I normally play don't normally require typing.  I've kept up with my typing skills because I'm on the computer just enough to keep that going and not loose it.  You know the old saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it."

I learnt how to type by playing Need for Speed. It was a game that needed my full attention and learning how to type pretty fast through it was really good.

There are those non conventional games too where you literally learn typing by playing them. I have a few of them installed on my PC, they are a good way of practicing fast typing.

Gaming definitely improved my typing speed! Fast-paced chat and quick responses made me type faster than traditional learning ever did.
