The Blackangel Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 I first want it to be known that I’m not particularly educated on eSports. That said, is there any kind of league where it's one person against one person instead of team vs team? It doesn't have to be limited to fighting games like Mortal Kombat. If so, that may be a league I could watch and possibly not puke.
Scorpion Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 It's okay if you're new to eSports! Yes, there are many one-on-one leagues across different genres, like fighting games (e.g., Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter) and strategy games. You might enjoy these formats, as they focus on individual skill rather than team dynamics.
killamch89 Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 One-on-one matches showcase pure mechanical skill and decision-making without team dynamics, letting players’ individual strengths and weaknesses shine in high-stakes duels.

Yes the fighting game community is poor to watch.
Shortie Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 Speed running is one that I know of which is quite popular when it comes to one on one esports. I also know that games such as Mortal Kombat are popular for one and one tournaments in esports too.
