Voltairus Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) There's been a lot of speculation about the decline of E3 over the past few years. Especially in 2019, when Sony didn't even show up. Now with quarantine cancelling events and everyone moving toward directs and new buzz about the Summer Game Fest, do you think E3 will even return in 2021 or will this just be the beginning of the end for the convention? digital Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I feel like with the recent decline in E3 over the years it's possibly heading for the end of it's run, it just doesn't seem to have the same draw to it anymore, the last couple really haven't been good. It might have been saved this year (if it wasn't cancelled) with the release of the PS5 and new Xbox consoles as they would be a big draw and major talking point but I just don't see it lasting much longer now.
SaucyPastaTho Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I doubt it. Due to everything that's going on it might be temporarily stopped.
Shovide Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 No, this won't happen. This is one of the most acknowledged gaming conferences. It could be possible only if people lose interest in gaming overall.
kingpotato Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I will say E3 will continue on but only as a digital presentation like Nintendo's Direct.
skyfire Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I think upto 2021. Lot of conferences and the workshops will be closed. And that would end many careers. But just be patient and hang on. That should tell you where things end up.
