A Night To Remember is quite a memorable one. I’ve got a soft spot for that one.

Bioshock is alright. It's great in terms of atmosphere and storytelling, I just feel it falls short on the actual shooting part of FPS. It doesn't feel like it does anything radical in terms of actual gameplay. The abilities you get have already been done in games like System Shock and Deus Ex and the shooting is... meh. It never feels particularly satisfying in my opinion. If you ask me it's not up there among the best but it's still a good game.

Hmm, for me it's a very strong tie between the original Doom and Quake. Both popularized the genre and it wouldn't be what it is today without those games. Doom was in many ways the true father of the entire genre, and set in stone a lot of the conventions that still apply today. And Quake added mouse look and WASD controls and a true 3D environment. Heck, there are remnants of the original Quake engine in a lot of stuff today even.

I don't mind radiant quests, they give people something to do way after everything else is done which I think is better than just running out of missions altogether.  I can see why it bothers completionists though, I also like to keep my mission list as thin as possible so sometimes that aspect is annoying, but it is a minor thing.  I remember the minutemen quests in Fallout 4 being one of the more annoying ones I have seen, but they easy enough to ignore.  If in the future they increase in variability then that would be even better, I have been playing AC Odyssey lately and it actually has some great radiant quests that vary a good bit, delivered both through message boards in towns and just random ppl that pop up on your map occasionally. Also, the Thieves Guild quests do actually have a purpose (somewhat) because if you do enough of them you can trigger an event.

It's one of the more interesting new features to the Elder Scrolls series. I liked them, and I agree, as the medium evolves, more complex procedurally generated quests will definitely be used in future RPG titles. I particularly like how they're borderline indistinguishable from other quests (except for looking closely in the menus). They feel organic and not forced which is a great achievement.

Fallout 2 is my favourite, mostly due to how dark it is compared to the later games. You can become a porn star, you can **** guys until they explode if your skill is high enough and it just felt like more of a RPG than the later games. But yeah, love all of them really. Had a lot of fun with New Vegas.

I’ve played FO 2, FO 3, New Vegas and FO 4. My fave is New Vegas as it has the best/funniest writing and some nice quality of life improvements over 3.
I love ’em all, though! Really hope NV or 3 gets ported to Switch 🤞🏼

Is it really a game of Skyrim if you're not reading about the Lusty Argonian Maid? But in all seriousness, I find Skyrim's texts super boring at times so I never bother with them. Dragon Age and Mass Effect I do, because I'm more invested in their worlds. Assassins Creed too because I find history, even if its really inaccurate at times, rather interesting.

Elder Scrolls and Fallout have really cool music that really gets into my head. The former is really soothing and the latter is catchy af.

Hard to say, since least annoying doesn't necessarily correlate with most memorable, just music that is very inoffensive. I agree that the Elder Scrolls games in general have very good ambient music, same with the Fallout series.

Lol. That reminds me of the time a tiny speck appeared in the sky and then crashed to earth as a mammoth, dead on impact.

Easy one for me, personally: The Last Of Us. I still show non-gamers the opening to that game to show how far our medium has come. Such an emotional opening and I still tear up when I play it.
How about you? What do you think is the best opening in a video game?

One of the worst I've seen happened to my buddy not me personally.  It was in Skyrim and every time he would fast travel a dragon would spawn, even inside cities where they usually would not appear, which would put NPCs at risk as they would all rush to help fight the dragon, and a few well known NPCs died fighting the dragons which closes their shops forever.  Eventually he just had to stop fast traveling, or he would fast travel outside the city, fight the dragon, then go in.

Ha, nice question! The most memorable/funny glitch for me was in Skyrim.
A giant clobbered me and sent me flying up into the air for what seemed like forever.
Like, I don’t think I ever came down. Just kepy flying. Up and up. 😂
Suffice to say, I had to re-load my save.

I shall look forward to those then! I've been putting off Point Lookout till I level up a little more.
That was why I ended up loving it. And I enjoyed the stealth thing. It's not my strong suit, but I liked the challenge.

All this talk of glitches, bugs and Bethesda games has given me a major hankering to boot up Fallout 3/Fallout NV!

If my game didn't crash every half hour or so, I'd almost feel cheated of the authentic Bethesda experience.

Frankly, Bethesda games are notoriously glitchy and it's paramount that you save often (pretty sure the game even recommends to do this). In regards, to that specific bug, I can't remember coming across it and I've spent many, many hours in both those games, as well as their DLC packs. Hope it works out for ya and resolves it self. *fingers crossed*

I remember reading about the Salton Sea in California during the early 20th century. Basically, it was a man-made lake in the middle of the desert that lots of people flocked to as a holiday attraction. Unfortunately, pesticides destroyed the lake and all that's now left is a huge graveyard of dry, arid land and a bunch of old fish bones. The pictures and land look very Fallout-esque.

I don't buy DLC very often unless it is for a game I really like.  The best I have gotten are both DLCs for the Witcher 3, and the Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon ZD.  All provide really solid expansions to the game that are fun to play.
