  1. Yeah while I would agree with you to a certain degree, there is just not much to conclude on in a demo. Even many games that seems so good in demo later end up to be a disappointment.

  3. Ny roommate gets bored easily these days. I often find find him pausing what he is playing to scroll through his phone. He does it when we play multiplayer games as well. It’s obvious that he has lost the excitement he used to have. What do you think can help revive the excitement?
  4. A few times we have started games and for one reason or another we have to neglect the games halfway. Then you look back at these games and you are even glad you stopped playing them. For me it’s call of duty. I’m just tired of war games.
  5. Recently I learned that it is better to be a proactive gamer than reactive. Acting first will always give you an edge over reacting to your opponent’s actions. This has helped me to win more duels compared to when I mostly depended on opponents actions. What tips have helped you improve your gaming skills?
  6. What games do you look forward to playing before the year runs out? It could be new games that are not yet released, but you are looking forward to them. Or a game that has been in the market but you have not played yet. Share with us your thrills for the rest of the year.
  7. Surely, there are times when you suddenly get stuck in a particular level and you can’t seem to get through. I just quit the game and give it a few hours or days. Or I seek ideas from those that have completed the game how they did it, whether online or offline. What do you do when games get really tough?
  8. Demo simply means demonstrations. When it comes to games, there are demos of it that gives a glimpse to players what to expect. Do you make decisions based on the demos you play?
  9. The very first game I played was Super Mario. I still remember vividly how excited I was to get to play on console for the first time. Do you remember the very first time you played a game? What kind of game was, and how did you feel?
  10. Yes, that is what priorities is all about. I don’t want to spend all my time working as well. I want to balance it out with the right kind of fun.

  13. I play Tetris a lot, and it has subtle effects on how I want my stuffs to be well arranged and aligned. If there is a slight disarray of in the way I keep things, I feel the need to make everything look perfect.
  14. For kids definitely. It makes learning more fun and enjoyable for them, we have a lot of games dedicated to that. I don’t see how an adult can enjoy such games though.
  15. Yes, as long as they have diligently done their homework and chores then they should be free to play for a few hours. It should be like a reward for their diligence.
  16. Of course, I don’t even need to be told that. Gaming is just for fun, I don’t make money from it. So I have to take more seriously what makes me pay my bills.
  17. They actually do, more than we care to admit. This War of Mine (2014) is an example of a game that conveys the human cost of war and civilian struggles during the Bosnian war. Call of Duty also tells us a lot about WWII.
  18. The storytelling and narratives of games make them a work of art. Games tell a complex and engaging story with deep characters and themes. This is similar to what literatures and films do.
  19. VR has provided a high level of presence and engagement. Players feel like they are inside the game world, which leads to a greater sense of involvement in the gameplay.

  22. Not everyone fancy playing with others. We don’t have to compare them or debate about how one is better than the other. Burg are essential aspects of gaming.
  23. Can realism ever be too much? I don’t think so. If there are too much tricks and mechanics in a game that completely goes out of the world, I would not see the meaning in it. I want some real experience you know.
  24. I’m very good at racing games, but bad at soccer games. When I play multiplayer football with others I end up getting the last positions. I guess we can’t have it all.
