We have 2 guinea pigs atm. They’re my daughter’s but I tend to do a lot of the feeding and cleaning so they like me as well!

Depends on how good the game was, but I usually replay stuff around a year later. Another factor is if there’s a drought of the game’s particular genre, then there’s more chance I’ll replay it sooner. For example, I want to replay The Evil Within 2 (best horror game I’ve played in ages) so will probably play it sometime next year, especially if there’s no good horror games around.

It would possibly change for the better. For a start, we probably wouldn’t have gone through with Brexit if more younger folks voted 😔 Mostly older people voted to leave the EU.

There’s definitely a case to be made for Super Mario Bros and Minecraft. Both games made a huge impact on gaming’s DNA. GTA III and Modern Warfare III were influential, for sure. Out of the COD titles I think MW1 probably made the biggest impact culturally imho.

I think DOOM is possibly the most influential game of all time. What do y'all reckon?

When someone says: "I hate dem stupid video games," is a major turn off for me. Also, "I hate dem stupid horror movies," is another major turn off. Obviously, said person has a right to that opinion, but honestly, it's a turn off for me.

Oh, and the OG Bioshock! That's got a very strong narrative, for sure.

100% agree. It's got to be The Last Of Us, yeah. I think a few other likely contenders would be Final Fantasy VII, Silent Hill 2 and Heavy Rain.

Hey Katri! Favourite indie games, huh? I probably talk about this too much, but I adore Darkest Dungeon, Limbo and FTL: Faster Than Light. There's so many I love to be honest, but those three were the first that came to mind. I'd swap Jeff Bridges' "The Dude" from The Big Lebowski with Patrick Stewart's "Captain Picard" from one of the Star Trek movies. I'm pretty sure, that'd be fun to watch, haha.

I think it's a movie a lot of people love to hate. The reason why differs from person to person, but I think this is mainly due to the movie's over-sentimental tone, and the fact many folks didn't like Leonardo DiCaprio at the time. I didn't mind it, but I'm a big fan of DiCaprio. Always thought he was a great actor since I saw him in The Basketball Diaries and What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

I read a ton of reviews, watch some video reviews and check Metacritic. That said, even if it's getting mediocre reviews, I'll still possibly pick it up depending on how much I love the IP. For example, I picked up Fallout 76 yesterday even though it's had middling reviews because I bloody love that IP. Unsurprisingly, I'm having fun with it!
