Hi! I’m writing this as a member of Brytenwalda Studios. We are a small studio headquartered in Spain that develops independent video games. We started as fans doing mods for Total War, and later we developed the Viking Conquest DLC for Mount & Blade that many of you might have heard of. With this post we’re trying to find players that may be interested in our latest game, Beyond Mankind, which we launched a few months ago. We have developed it and published it on our own, and we have just released a very important patch that improves the game in almost every aspect. We are very excited to share with everyone this new version of the game and to find players that want to try it and give us their opinion. To put you in context, Beyond Mankind is an action RPG in the fashion of games from the last decades such as Fallout or Mass Effect, but from the perspective of an indie game. What’s more, we’ve also included some survival and exploration mechanics and a unique character creation system. It is very focused on the narrative, and pitches the player in front of existential dilemmas, the same ones actually faced by humanity itself. It’s set in the year 2121, a time in which the Earth is in the hands of a new and modified human race. The character you create, with memories from a dead world implanted, will be part of H.O.P.E., an elite military unit at the vanguard of a war to recover Earth. Here's the trailer. We’re here to answer any questions you might have. If there's any problem with the post or we should post this in another section, plese let us know. Thank you everyone for your attention!

Do you prefer games where health, etc. regenerates, or not?
Jutsun replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it's something that really depends on the type of game, and both systems can work well depending on the situation. Regenerating health doesn't necessarily mean that the game is easier and I feel that it can make combat more dynamic at times, but having to heal also adds some thrill to it, especially when you have to manage resources. -
There's always so many interesting games in platforms like this! And I love they give space to both big and smaller games.

What developers do the best job supporting their games?
Jutsun replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
As someone who works closely with indie studios, I would say that indie devs care a lot about these issues. Sometimes because they have less resources or other problems and they take some time to respond, but they do care about their players because they're usually, above all, people who love videogames with a passion. -
To be honest, I'm not that big of a completionist myself, but it can happen to me with some collectibles or something I see it's feasible to complete but it's still a somewhat tedious task. However, most of the times I will do it because I find some enjoyment in it, so I guess "hate" is too strong of a word.

Do you play video games together with your children/relatives?
Jutsun replied to Justin11's topic in Gaming Forum
Regardless of the time of the year, the answer to the question of the thread is yes. If it's possible and they are also into it, playing videogames is a great way to socialize and get closer to people. And it's very fun too! It's nice to be able to share your hobby and your work with everyone around you. -
Qualcomm made a new handheld video game console that you can’t buy
Jutsun replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I actually think they should release it too. I like a lot the direction some companies are taking with their ideas. It's always nice to see innovations like this, and it could be supercool and comfortable to play in one of these.
