There are so many tv shows and movies I haven't watched I'd need a book to list them all. There's a lot of modern programming that has absolutely no appeal to me at all. I hate all the new sitcoms with a passion.

- Avatar - I'm instinctively suspicious of anything with too broad of an appeal, if almost everyone likes something it means it caters to the lowest common denominator, so it is probably not very deep or thoughtful
- Most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
- Friends - The traditional sitcom genre have never appealed to me, I find them cringe rather than funny. I could basically list all the popular ones.
- Simpsons
- Family Guy
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer
- Heroes
- Supernatural
- Grey's Anatomy
- Stranger Things
- Squid Game
Avatar was actually a very good movie. I feel like it was well done. Plus the graphics were beautiful.

I find that video games relieve a lot of my stress and anxiety. For a while there during the pandemic the need to shoot at people in Fortnite scratched some sort of weird itch I had going on. Now I play more of the cozy games. There's one I want but the content disturbs me a little. Since I don't agree with the views in the game I'm not sure I wanna bother with it. I have a few adventure games but I prefer the cozy games over those.

Sometimes the difference lies in the pipes in someone's home, sometimes it depends on what goes on at the water treatment plant, and maybe the city water itself. I prefer bottled over tap but can't afford it. Some tap water isn't drinkable. Mine is pretty reasonable. I would drink the tap water before I would the Dasani.

I know that many of you have been expressing frustration over how "spammy" (for lack of a better word) some sections of the forum are becoming by a handful of people using the threads more like a chat. The forum gets flooded with off-topic posts on threads that really should have long since died but keep getting bummed because some people feel compiled to reply to them with anything.
This thread is not about pointing fingers or blame, it is just about how to better organise the forum so that the threads can be more welcoming for the whole community. So people can post, for example, without worrying about there posts getting bummed down by people posting barley relevant, low value replies just to up posts counts. Four possible idea come to me.
- A "shitposting" sub forum for people to, well, "shitpost". A thread for memes, jokes and other irrelevant dribble to have fun with without impacting other areas of the forum.
- A re-focus on forum games. Upping post counts is essentially what these types of threads are for, but almost nobody on VGR tends to use them. For this to work, it would necessitate a change of habit that, to be honest, I don't really see happening, so I'm less sure about this one.
- A chat box added to the forum itself. This works well in theory, but could be difficult and time consuming to implement, not to mention hard to monitor and moderate, which is why I'd personally prefer...
- Opening a VGR Discord server. As well as a place for live chat, it would also open up the community to the opportunity to group up and actually play games together. Now, @DC, I remember we have had this discussion before and you didn't want to do this because you feared it would move traffic off the website, and I truly understand that, but this CAN be run and moderated in such a way that it would work, and may even attract new people to VGR.
Still, that is just one man's thoughts. If you have anything to add or if you want to push one of these ideas, reply below.
I have a question.
This is a gaming forum. If we can't "chat" about the games then what is the point of posting? I'm just confused. Not mad. Just trying to understand what it is you want us to do? Is there some formal format for a post cuz I don't know how to post without actually chatting about what I'm posting about. That's what a discussion is correct?

Smartwater is good too, I've tried it.
But have you ever been able to find a bottle that is NOT super-sized? 😂 I can't. Not around here anyway.
Has lots of good electrolytes. Nice choice.
we have smaller bottles of smart water here but supersize on the fuji. 1 liter of fuji water is $3.

a family plan is $40 on the switch. you can add up to 8 free accts i think. you hafta link them to your acct. and if they're kids under 12 they're free. so what xbox is doing for $20 might be nice for y'all.

I haven't played the game but I came across an article on it yesterday and it gave quite a little details about what you're going to expect to do in the game. You can read up on it, I'm sure it's going very helpful.

idk. the graphics are nice in most of the games. some of the switch games not so much. my issue is the fact that so many of the games are so violent and it's all shooters and sword play. not all of us like that kind of thing. but they seem to be stuck in a rut. shooters, sword play, beat em ups, zombies and farming. and now they're doing all these horror games. they need to make more games that are more pleasant and less violent. and i wish they'd think of some new stuff. just because one company makes fall guys doesn't mean they ALL need to make similar versions. it would be nice to see more variety. yes gaming has gotten better. just a little less creative and more of a cash cow.
