  1. Not necessarily claustrophobic: indeed, when I'm swimming in an ocean in Minecraft, I feel quite the opposite 😛 . But it is rather annoying... a lot of these games have controls that respond more slowly underwater; and a lot also have a breath meter, which just adds to the pressure.

I've lost count of the number of times I've drowned my poor characters 😞 !

  2. Roller Coaster Tycoon... I loved the first two games, and liked the third (didn't have the same charm as the first two, but the Coaster Cam alone made it worth getting 🙂 ). But after that... the franchise kinda imploded 😕 .

I did try Planet Coaster, but I just couldn't get into it... it was too complicated 😞 .

  3. I'd never watched any Addams Family stuff prior to this - but, I decided to check it out because everyone else was talking about it.

I have to say, I was impressed on the whole 😄 . It was sort of like Harry Potter meets Stranger Things - and as I'm a fan of both franchises, it makes sense that I would've enjoyed it 😛

Looking forward to season 2 now!

Seems to be so, especially with all of these AI services popping up. I know people have attempted to make stories with AI, and even create game code with AI, so the future for AI is pretty bright. Only issue is how much AI will be used and if any of what is used for the AI is copyrighted or not. That's one big thing I worry about with AI is if it steals peoples content to create more content.

And yeah, I don't see AI being that good to make something like a triple A game, but maybe one day we'll get close.

Yeah, that's certainly true... although, given how intelligent AI is getting, perhaps it'll be possible to get it to understand and follow copyright law (better than any human ever could!!!)

  5. Terraria... I didn't get into it until a year after I bought it 😛 .

Looking back, I think I struggled to get into it because, in my mind, it was just "2D Minecraft". However, when I got into it more, I discovered that it just wasn't that simple. Sure, there were obvious visual similarities, and the games had some things in common mechanically - but the gameplay was quite different (with Terraria being more combat-focused, and Minecraft being more building-focused). It's entirely possible to appreciate both for what they are 🙂

  6. Yeah, I had a similar experience with the Harry Potter games, with the Wizard Cards. The first game had 25 of them scattered around the castle, while the second game had 101. But despite this, collecting all the cards was actually easier in the second game: if you failed to find one, then you could buy it off another student later. By contrast, the cards in the first game were permanently missable: if you failed to pick one up, you'd never get another chance, unless you restarted the game from the beginning!

I did get them all in the end, but it took me several playthroughs.

Just to clarify, so that I understand, in the UK you would pronounce it jag-you-are right? Here in the states, yes we say jag-war.

To me, it's more like "JAG-you-er". The final syllable is completely unstressed 😛 .

(Or, to make it completely unambiguous, I'll just give you the IPA: /ˈd͡ʒæɡ.juː.ə/ 🤣)
