Welcome aboard, Anders! Better late than never... and I hope you enjoy this place 🙂 .
-
The Sims 4, albeit only to do some character creation 😛 .
-
Well, I don't see why politics would be the problem: it's confined to one section of the board, and not even a very well-used one: most people are just here for gaming anyway 😛 .
But, yeah, I guess some people are just busy... in which case, it'll naturally pick up again once they have more time :) .

Got back to Transport Fever.... only played a further two in-game years though, getting to 1982.
But there was a major milestone: I got my first TGV!

Mine does too but I change it in the settings so it's kind of a non-factor for me. Here's another example - an RGB Spotlight for sale on Amazon? It's bad enough having a 70's disco inside with all that RGB. How's it even going to help you outside!
"Currently unavailable"... probably for the best, TBH!

If you did have a kid, do you have any ideas for names?

So wait, I'm a little confused. Do you like start a railway in the 1800's then run it to the present day?
Yeah, pretty much. Most games start in 1850, and I usually play them through to 2025 and then stop. (Theoretically, you could continue as long as you want - but since there are no new vehicles past the 2010s, there's no real reason to continue much beyond there!)
Anyway, the last game I played was The Sims 4.

I wonder what escapism would be for aliens, traveling to Earth and brain fry us??? 😆
I'd hope not... although it wouldn't surprise me if their games involved brain-frying generic aliens not based on any specific civilisation 😛 .

Transport Fever.
Getting quite close to the end of my game now... I'm into 1980 🙂 .
-
Not all that surprising... Quidditch was a glaring omission, which made me think they were either holding it back for DLC or doing a stand-alone game. And it seems it'll be the latter.
Hopefully it'll be just as good as Hogwarts Legacy, though... if it is, then we have a lot to look forward to!

The Sims 4... now that my sister's gone home, I'm back to that 😛 .
(We didn't complete our Civ 6 game in the end, but we did make it into a winning position!)

I played Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Order of the Phoenix on the PC, and I recently got Hogwarts Legacy.
Of the first four, my favourite was Chamber of Secrets. It was much more fleshed-out than Philosopher's Stone - but it still had a strong element of exploring to find secret items and areas, which the later games moved away from.
Of course, Hogwarts Legacy seems to blow all of those games out of the water, but I haven't yet played enough of it to be able to judge it fully!

All of mine so far have been wired, but that's mostly because I just go for the cheapest option available 😛 .
Not having a cord would be nice, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money!
-
Civilization VI again... it's occupied most of my gaming time while my sister's been home. We're pretty much dominating, but because we haven't specialised in any one area, where not very close to any of the victories!

I keep seeing that game at a good price. Do you like it?
Last games played: Dying Light 2, Saints Row, Shadow of the Colossus, Sekiro.
Yes, I do 🙂 . Not as much as I like Civilization V, but I do have some 600 hours on it, which I wouldn't have if I didn't like the game!
Anyway, the last thing I played was Civ VI yet again... I'm now at war with Sweden and Nubia, and I've captured a Nubian city. I'm having a hard time capturing any more, but I won't give up just yet!

Civilization VI
Playing as the Netherlands this time - and I have three cities so far!
-
I hope they wouldn't think any less of us. They probably need their down-time just as much as we humans do - and they probably need escapism to get away from all the problems that their civilisation has.
Heck, they may very well have video games of their own - or at least, something very much like them!

The Sims 4, which I played yesterday.
-
No real surprise, given that the major players in the gaming industry didn't seem interested - but I guess this is RIP E3.
Quite sad, really, considering what it once was...
-
I don't use it - and as long as they only offer mobile games, I have no intention of using it.
Almost all of my gaming is done on a PC.
-
Transport Fever. Just got the "Glacier Express" achievement, for having a train that rises above 450 metres 😛 .
-
I can't imagine ever being happy gaming to earn money. It's one of my hobbies: I don't want to turn it into a job!
-
Railroad Tycoon II... it came out in 1998; I got it in 2002; and I still play it today 😛 .
I think the gameplay still holds up - and while the graphics don't exactly look 'modern', I think they've aged pretty well 🙂

RIP, Lance Reddick 😢 . My condolences to his friends and family.
I hope John Wick: Chapter 4 has a very successful run at the box office in his honour.
