Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in Game Pass Wishlist
It probably would not happen if I were honest as much as many people want it to and would love to see it happen, but I would love to see both Simpsons Hit and Run and Simpsons Road Rage come to Game Pass at some point in the near future. There has been so much talk between gamers about wanting these two games to make a comeback, but it doesn't seem to be happening at all at the moment which is a shame. I could imagine seeing these two games on Game Pass would be a huge hit for many.

This sounds interesting but I wonder if it'll come out with the current gen consoles or when a successor is launched.

Yeah the novelty of it started to ware off for me. Back when the 360 came out, there was a few games with some easy achievements. I remember a NBA 2k6 or something that dropped that gave you an easy 1000G just from playing one game. Each achievement was huge too, like 100 for some, 200 for others and I think a big one for like 500G. Then games started to add tons more small achievements.
I used to grab as many as I could when I played, but these days you have to do so much for some achievements, that I sometimes just pass on some of them lol. Also, some games you can't even get 100% since some were online only achievements. I remember achievements hunters throwing fits about that. :D

That's fair. Getting into retro gaming is very hard to do these days. From having to find the consoles, the games, and possibly a tv to play them on (HDTVs are fine, but CRT TVs are better). As well, you have to worry about the prices, as retro games are going up in prices, especially NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. Mostly retro games.
Emulation is a great way to play the games you never got to. I had a raspberry pi with an emulator on it, but it recently died on me. One of these days I'll buy a new raspberry pi and make another emulation station.

I don't see a handheld being announced, but with the way the market is going and how more companies are getting into handheld hardware, it's always a possibility Xbox and others may jump into the handheld market too. I've said it before, the popularity of the Switch and the Steam Deck has to be giving Sony and Microsoft ideas about the possibility.
I don't know if Sony would try their hands at making a new handheld, but maybe Microsoft.
I think if it were to happen, it'd be another generation off, maybe after this generation of consoles.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in Xbox shouldn't have cancelled the backwards compatibility program.....
Yes, I was very disappointed when they announced they were cancelling the backwards compatibility program. So many people including I always hoped that maybe one day we would see Simpson Hit and Run and Simpsons Road Rage come to Xbox under the backwards compatibility program but unfortunately, we were disappointed when they cancelled any further plans to keep it going. I would have loved to see both of those games come back to Xbox again.

I have played PSOBB! The last time I played the game though was back in 2020 on the Xbox as they released the game on consoles a few years ago. As much as I love the game, I just haven't found the time to be able to jump on and play like I used to, mainly because I get so addicted to it when I do play and then everything else gets pushed to the side. I know at some point I will jump back on again, but it will be a time when I have more time to be able to get stuck in.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in Call of Duty Mobile
When my daughter got her new phone last Christmas, I took her Android phone that she used to have as it was still fairly new and one of the first games, I downloaded on it was Call of Duty Mobile. I was actually quite shocked at how quick I was able to get used to the controls and how it plays on mobile. I believe you play against bots in the beginning which is why I found it as easy as I did. I still have it installed on my phone and do go back to it from time to time, but I haven't played it in a little while if I am honest. It is a fun game and a lot of fun though.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in How do you organize your games?
I have a cupboard that I keep in my living room which is in the corner where we keep most of the games that we have and some of them are also kept in other cupboards of the house. At the moment I don't have any solid place where I can keep all the physical games that I have due to lack of funds to get something like that which is kind of why I am glad digital is now a thing as that means less worry on where to keep games when I get them so there is less clutter.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in If you could play only one console for the rest of your life.....
This is a tough one for me as I have had a lot of consoles growing up and beyond that. I guess if I really had to choose one console out of all the consoles, I played to be the only console I played for the rest of my life, it would definitely have to be the Super Nintendo. I had way too much fun on that console with all the games I had, especially the Mario games that I had and given the chance, that would be the console I would stick with if it was the only one.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in I’ve learned to appreciate the loudness of my gaming laptop fan
I myself always used to worry when my laptop or even my PC would kick off with the fan going crazy when I was doing anything heavy. I used to worry that my PC was getting ready to just give up on me because of how hard the fan was pushing itself, after a while I got used to it and realized it was doing what it was supposed to which was help keep my PC cool whilst I was doing things such as gaming. It's nice to have something there even if it's just the fan kicking up to know that your PC is doing something so that you are aware to not do too much and possibly cause it to crash out.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in Xbox Live 1.0 is back via "Insignia.live"!
This is awesome and the first I have heard of this. I do still have an original Xbox upstairs that I kept that I could try this on just to be able to go back. It would bring back a lot of memories to be able to go back to the Xbox Live 1.0 service. I remember how basic the first Xbox was and their online service so being able to go back to that and just see how much things have changed over the year would be amazing.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in A new portable?
I think if they were to release another portable console, they would have to get it as close to their PS5 as possible but in handheld form for it to be a hit. Many now want something that they can use when on the go and at times when they can not take their PS5 with them, something like a handheld with cross-progression would be amazing for those who want to be able to game on the go still. If they were to get it as close to their PS5 but for on the go, I feel it would be a huge hit for PlayStation fans.

The fact that people are willing to sit and code a fan made version of a game is just amazing and as you say, some of them are just amazing and definitely worth being looked into my game developers in possibly bringing them in to work for them. I can only imagine the number of hours they must put in to get the game to get it where it's playable with limited problems and get barely any recognition for the game is very sad. Hopefully one day developers will pick up on those who make fan made games and appreciate them a little more than they do now.

Shortie got a reaction from Smokey in Ever been part of a clan?
I have been part of a clan, yes. I remember back in 2008 I met a few people when playing Saints Row and we got playing and moved to Rainbow Six Vegas 2 where we continued our clan there and met a group of people who had another clan. We used to have a ton of fun going up against each other in terrorist hunt or in custom made matches as a friendly fun time between 2 clans. After a while we moved to Halo 3 where we continued our clan until everyone started moving on due to life away from gaming becoming busy and the clan disbanded.

Shortie got a reaction from killamch89 in MultiVersus
It really is a fun game and if you liked Smash Bros in the past this is a great game. I remember when I played some characters were locked and I can't remember why, may have been due to the battle pass or due to needing to play through the game and they would open up the more I played. I really do need to jump back on Multiverses but there are so many games and just not enough time. I will get back on it at some point. Will be interesting to see how it is now after a few months of release.

Shortie reacted to Kane99 in Do you think Game Pass Ultimate will include other media at some point?
I agree. I think it could work. The only thing is, it depends on what kind of content you get for those tiers. Maybe music streaming? Maybe a catalog of movies/tv shows that you can stream through your Xbox? They could make their own little netflix side where you can stream movies and tv.
I think it's going to be a part of future plans.

Shortie got a reaction from DC in Need game ideas
It can sometimes be difficult to find games especially for younger children as it always tends to be the popular games that get advertised more so than any other games and these games tend to be for people much older such as teens or even adults. It all really depends on if you are looking for free or paid. I know some games are available as part of Apple Arcade which is a gaming subscription service which is $5 a month.

Run Sackboy! Run is a great game for someone of the age you are looking for and it's also FREE. This game is the mobile version of Little Big Planet. It's a runner platform game and in the game the player can run and collect, bubbles, coins and stickers which will increase your score through the level. Each level will give you more tasks, so it makes it different each level you reach.

Rayman Adventures is another game you could try with your child that they may enjoy. This game is also FREE! In this game the player runs through trying to find secret eggs that protect the sacred tree.

Another great one is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. This one is also free and if you have ever heard of or seen animal crossing or even played it yourself, you will know how much fun can be had in this game.

I hope these have helped a little. I would definitely recommend looking into Apple Arcade though as there are a lot of games in there that are suitable for a 4 year old that would be worth checking out.
