Have you ever tried driving a sports car?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Two things: 1) It wasn’t a Mustang. It was a Camaro Iroc-Z 2) I had no intentions of any kind of modifications except the sound system. -
Or any collector. For example the Black Lotus MTG card goes for tens of thousands at auction when it comes up. There was an Alpha Black Lotus autographed by designer and artist Christopher Rush that ranks as the most valuable Magic: The Gathering card of all time, fetching over half a million dollars at auction.

I'm still trying to understand your entire post. What does the combination of those sentences have to do with one another or anything this thread was about at all?

Did you ever quit a game in the middle? Why?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Not really in the middle, but I have quit games before finishing them. Like with FF8, I almost never move on to disc 4. I go to disc 3 and no further. It's because the game just gets boring after disc 3. The towns are all sealed off, and the only place to go and only thing to do is Ultimecia's Castle. There is literally nothing else to do, unless you left a few choice side quests open, and know how to go get the Ragnarok back. But the quests have to be entirely open world, and nothing else. Assuming they even still exist in the time compressed world. There's another game, but I won't mention it due to spoiler reasons that I don't play all the way to the end for mostly reasons of boredom. I'll list a few, and let you judge which one, but I won't say exactly which one it is. Castlevania SOTN GoW RDR2 Zelda II Blackthorne Banjo Kazooie Goblin Sword Sonic Life Is Strange -
Atari 2600 and a Sears Home Gaming Center. I'd have to double check on the year of the Sears, but I think it was 1980. The Atari was 1977. That damn thing is older than I am and works like a dream.

If money were no issue, what would your dream gaming setup be?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Every console each on their own big screen TV, working perfectly and ready to go. No flashbacks, only the original systems. Everything from 1977 to 2021 that was released in the western market is absolute. A couple Famicoms and Super Famicoms would be great to add in as well. These would also include every game ever made, all of the originals, no remakes. Whether I liked the game or not is irrelevant. All controller designs. Whether used or not is irrelevant. The room would be completely climate controlled so that it doesn't get too hot, too cold, too humid, or too dry. And we'll add in an extra TV and DVD player so I can watch movies while I game if I want to. That's just a small start. Since money is no object, there's a lot more, but that would be a decent beginning. -
Do you still have any of your cards? Is it that charizard (no idea if I spelled that right) that is so popular? You could probably get a couple bucks for it if you don't play anymore.

Personally, I have to say movie remakes. I've seen several, and they always tarnish the original with how shitty they are. Clash Of The Titans Pet Sematary It The Shining Godzilla Total Recall TMNT And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. They are all worthless. A complete abomination that should never have seen anything beyond the inside of the mind of the moron that thought of the idea of remaking them. Then there's the live action remakes. Oh. You. Bastards. Can someone kill me please? If I'm dead I won't have to suffer through another one being made, whether I somehow end up being forced to see it or not.

The Godfather catapulted quite a few.

Yeah, that's what I said.

I remember VCR's. I always set the record speed to LP so that I had 6 hours worth of video time when I recorded something. I also had a rewinder. And I had 2 VCR's linked together because people were always coming to me to make them a copy of something they had on tape, for some reason. Sure, back then I could hook a toaster up to a Nintendo and have it sing you the time, but why the hell was I the go to for duplicates? I still have a lot of VHS tales and do still watch them. I also have one of those TV/VCR combo sets. I remember if you were to buy a complete season of a show on VHS it was a massive block of VHS tapes and there were usually 2 episodes per tape. Like with Xena for example. Now I have the entire series on DVD, and it doesn't half the physical space that 2 VHS tapes took up. VCR's were great, but DVD is a lot more convenient. While were on this note, who remembers making mix tapes?

I've never been able to successfully throw a Frisbee for some weird reason, but I've watched some people play. They're hardcore. Around here they call it "froffing" though. It looks interesting and kinda fun to be honest. But since I don't possess the ability to throw a Frisbee more than 2' before it hits the damn ground, it's well beyond my capabilities.
-
Probably. Nothing I've done is ever good enough for me. But then again, it was never good enough for anyone else either. Since both it and I weren't good enough, I got beat for it. But it's not as if a life like that is unusual. Just a normal childhood, no different from anyone else's childhood.

I'll let you know tomorrow. -

Would you rather give up swearing or ice-cream forever?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I rarely get the opportunity to have ice cream, so I wouldn't really be missing anything if I gave it up. -
You didn't need the word "how" in your post. You also didn't need to capitalize the letter "I" in the word "if" as you weren't starting a new sentence. I'm just poking fun at you, but it's meant to show that I'm a perfectionist. When I screw something up, it drives me nuts. Short trip, I know.

Have you ever broken traffic rules? When and why?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Daily. -
Both would be absolute hell for me. But if I was forced to choose I would choose deaf.

Would you rather have bad handwriting or a bad singing voice?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I have horrid handwriting that looks like a guys handwriting. I can sing fairly decent. I was the voice of a band when I was younger after all. But I would much rather have bad handwriting than a bad singing voice. But if I really wanted bad handwriting, I would just go to med school. -
Would you rather be a brilliant scientist or an amazing singer?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Here's a few of the songs Citizen Soldier recorded that I'm referring to. -

The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
That's not true. Sure singers and bands in general get things like Grammy's and gold records. But they also can get a lot of other awards or just recognition for humanitarian efforts. There's a band I listen to called Citizen Soldier. They're not the most well known band, but their music is all about mental illness and fighting thoughts that run through your mind in your darkest times. It's about feeling alone in this world, and shut off and away from it. While they don't have any Grammy's on their walls, their music has gotten me through some hard times. That recognition could mean more to a person than a shiny hunk of metal on a string.
