No. No you wouldn't. Storage space doesn't influence anything in the game except maybe load times (Because installing digital games in the storage can lead to shorter load times). However, it will influence how many games you can keep in your console without having any space issues. If you have many games and primarily buy digital games, I recommend the 1TB unit.

I doubt it. From what I've read on the interviews, they seem like they don't have a firm grasp on English, so the perpretrators are from a country that definitely isn't under US jurisidiction

They also have a heavy background on the tech and gaming industries. SO I really wouldn't put it past them if they went ahead for the console market.
