  1. With rapid advancements in robotics, how can we make sure this technology doesn’t become the domain of the wealthy or privileged few? What steps can governments, businesses, and the tech community take to ensure equal access to robotics for education, industry, and daily life? Should there be regulations, subsidies, or open-source initiatives to make robotics more affordable and widespread?
  2. As robotics and AI continue to advance, a key ethical question arises: should robots be programmed to always prioritize human life over everything else? Should they follow strict rules to protect humans, even at the cost of other values like efficiency, privacy, or autonomy? Or should we allow for more flexibility in decision-making? What are the potential consequences—both positive and negative of such programming?
  3. Biotechnology has shown promise in tackling environmental pollution, but how can it be specifically applied to remove toxic pollutants from soil and water? I'm curious about the different methods, such as using genetically modified microbes or plants, and their effectiveness in breaking down contaminants like heavy metals or pesticides. What are some real-world examples or research that highlight biotechnology’s potential in environmental cleanup?
  4. With advancements in biotech, could we see a future where biological systems replace traditional chemical manufacturing? Biotechnology offers eco-friendly solutions, utilizing microorganisms and enzymes to produce chemicals in a more sustainable way. Could this shift reduce the environmental impact of industrial production? What challenges stand in the way of biotech fully replacing traditional methods, and how close are we to this becoming mainstream?
  5. With many regions facing severe water shortages, could biotech innovations provide sustainable solutions? From drought-resistant crops to engineered bacteria for desalination, there are emerging technologies that might help conserve and even create water sources. What biotech solutions do you think hold the most promise for addressing water scarcity in arid regions? Would these technologies be scalable and cost-effective in the long term?
  6. With more and more games releasing with significant “day-one” patches, it seems like developers are increasingly relying on post-launch fixes rather than fully polished products. While some patches improve gameplay, others raise concerns about rushed releases. Do you think this trend is a necessary part of modern game development, or does it show a lack of proper quality assurance? How do you feel about games that rely on day-one patches to be “complete”?
  7. Modding can extend a game’s lifespan, enhance creativity, and foster a dedicated community, but it can also lead to compatibility issues, security risks, and a drain on developer resources. Should every game include modding support, or are there certain titles where it’s better left out? What do you think are the pros and cons of modding in modern games?
  8. Indie games often have some of the most unique and memorable soundtracks. Whether it’s the haunting melodies of Hollow Knight, the retro vibes of Celeste, or the chill tunes of Stardew Valley, there’s something special about how these soundtracks complement their games. What’s your all-time favorite indie game soundtrack, and what makes it stand out for you?
  9. With 2025 just around the corner, there are so many exciting indie games on the horizon! Whether it's a sequel, a new IP, or something totally unique, which upcoming indie release has caught your eye? What are you hoping it will deliver in terms of gameplay, story, or innovation?
  10. We all had that one game that pushed our old PCs or consoles to the limit. Whether it was the latest graphics, intense processing power, or just sheer scale, some games made us upgrade hardware or deal with constant lag. What game made your system sweat? Did you have to tweak settings or overclock your machine just to play it?
  11. In my opinion, I do it every month just to keep my phone running smoothly.
  12. I know. Social Media in general has been a cesspool since like 2015 onwards but you do have reliable sources for gaming news there but you have to search carefully.
  13. Totally forgot about that as well. This was a common occurrence in the 90s to be fair. Especially the early to mid 90s.
  14. I'd be more inclined to say FF VIII was a massive jump to VII as well. It was one of the best looking games out at the time.
  15. What do you mean we can't blame the executives? They're the ones that want their studios to create these shitty live-service games instead of proper games like Days Gone. Instead of give us what gamers want, they're making live-service crapfest that generate the most profit.
  16. As someone who plays Elden Ring often enough, I honestly don't care that much about this. It's fantastic that people are still buying the game but it honestly does nothing for me.
  17. The color grade is off and some of the animations definitely look like the work of AI. But that's what the industry will come to be in the future - more games built with AI. If you thought most games look alike now, in five years, we'll be wondering why the same game is being featured for the whole award show only to realize it was different games...
  18. I remember Deathspank and Swarm from the Xbox 360 era and I thought those were both decent games but then they went mainly into Mobile Gaming and that's a very tough market to compete in. Only the fittest survive in the Mobile Gaming space unfortunately.
  19. Not sure it'll work out well for them. Yes, Sega has Sonic and a few other titles, but nowhere near the catalog of a Netflix. My advice would be to think of something else.
  20. You learn to work together with strangers to achieve a common goal. Sometimes, it's not about winning, it's about the fun you had.
  21. Facts. I met my now gaming buddies from online MMOs in the 2010s. We played games like Champions Online and others.
  22. GTA: Vice City especially the radio channels are absolute flipping hilarious.
  23. Same here. My father bought this and Duck Hunt as my first two games when I was about 3.
