That does sound pretty crazy.

Yep. When I was about three, I played Mario for the Original NES with my dad for the first time. That was my entry into a lifelong habit of gaming and I've loved it ever since.

The White phosphorus scene in Spec Ops: The Line nearly brought me to tears. For the record, that's the only game I've played in my lifetime that an event in-game moved me emotionally to such an extent. Normally, I'm quite nonchalant about the killing of NPCs.

It's all about self control. Yes, there are games that I love to play all the time like Skyrim but getting addicted to anything is dangerous because it can lead to you making irrational decisions in the future.

What are the real-life lessons you learnt from video games?
killamch89 replied to GameOn's topic in Gaming Forum
That's a great perspective. I think video games often reflect real-life challenges and choices. For example, games like Dark Souls teach perseverance through trial and error. -
How much are you willing to pay for remasters and remakes?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
That's a very sensible answer. I'm definitely not paying $60 for a remaster even if I loved the original game. I'll just wait until a deal comes about or the price drops. -
With the rise of virtual reality, I’m curious about its potential impact on creative fields like art and music. How do you envision VR transforming the way artists create and musicians perform? Can VR offer new tools for expression, collaboration, or audience engagement that weren’t possible before?

While many brands offer a solid experience, the lack of personalization like adjustable fit, interchangeable faceplates, and customizable controls limits how users can tailor their experience. Do you think more customization could enhance comfort and immersion? What features would you like to see?

Would you consider using one? Do you think they would improve immersion in games, or do you find them cumbersome? What about the physical aspect? Would you be more inclined to exercise in VR?

I’ve been exploring the world of virtual reality and am curious about the most innovative experiences out there. From immersive games to creative art tools, VR seems to have limitless potential. What’s the most unique VR application you’ve tried? What made it stand out for you?

What are your best tips for maintaining your VR headset? I want to ensure mine stays in great shape for years to come. Any advice on cleaning the lenses, managing cables, or storing it properly? Also, how do you prevent wear and tear on the facial interface and straps?

Yeah. I'm considering getting one myself either the end of this year or early next year. -
As mobile games become more advanced, the storage requirements seem to skyrocket. Many games now demand several gigabytes, leaving limited space for users with older devices or those who download multiple games. How do you feel about these growing storage needs? Do you think developers should focus on optimizing size, or is this just a natural evolution of mobile gaming?

I've been sifting through the app stores and finding it hard to discover unique mobile games that aren't just mainstream hits. What are some hidden gem mobile games you’d recommend? I’m looking for titles that might have flown under the radar but offer great gameplay, engaging storylines, or innovative mechanics. Whether it's indie games or lesser-known gems, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

With major gaming publishers like EA and Activision expanding into the mobile gaming market, what are your thoughts? Do you think this is a positive move that could enhance mobile gaming quality and innovation, or are you concerned it might lead to more microtransactions and low-effort ports? How do you see this shift affecting indie developers and the overall gaming landscape?

I've been reflecting on how Xbox Game Pass has transformed the gaming landscape. For many of us, the idea of paying a monthly fee for access to a library of games seemed daunting at first. But with Game Pass, I find myself trying out genres and titles I wouldn't have considered otherwise. Has Game Pass influenced your gaming habits or changed how you view subscription services in general? Do you think it sets a standard for future gaming models?
-
I've been hearing a lot about how Xbox Game Pass allows players to explore different genres without the risk of shelling out full price for games. Personally, I’ve found myself diving into genres I never thought I’d enjoy. Have any of you discovered new favorite genres or games through Game Pass that you wouldn't have tried otherwise?

I’m considering picking up the Razer Wolverine or other third-party Xbox controllers but want to hear from those who’ve tried them. How do they compare to the official controllers in terms of build quality, responsiveness, and overall performance? Are there any specific features you love or hate? Any recommendations for other brands?

I've been eyeing the most recent Xbox Elite Controller for a while now, but the price tag makes me hesitate. For those who own it, do you think the features and performance enhancements really justify the cost? What do you love or dislike about it compared to the standard controller? Is it a game-changer for competitive gaming, or just an overpriced accessory?

With Xbox's backward compatibility feature allowing players to enjoy classic titles, I'm curious about how much Xbox Game Pass adds to this appeal. Does having access to a vast library of games on Game Pass make you more inclined to revisit older games? Or do you find yourself sticking to newer titles despite the backward compatibility?

I’ve been wondering how everyone manages their PlayStation's temperature during long gaming sessions. Do you use any specific cooling accessories, like fans or cooling pads? I’ve heard mixed reviews about them, so I’m curious if they actually make a difference. What products have you tried, and have you noticed any improvements in performance or noise levels?

With so many VR titles out now, I’d love to know which ones keep you coming back. Are there any games that have really stood the test of time for you, or do you find yourself exploring new ones often?

The PSP had such a unique game library that made it hard to put down. Whether it was the visuals, the portability, or just the selection of games, it felt like a must-have for so many. So what was the game that really made you fall in love with the PSP? Was it a big title like God of War or Final Fantasy, or was it something a bit more niche?
