I totally agree - trust me, I've dealt with my fair share of narcissistic people in many MMOs. It's one of the main reasons that online gameplay is so annoying at times.

The best thing to do is always have a save prior to the mod being installed. Some mods can be removed quite easily without any effect on the game - However, there are some that will leave scripts behind which will affect your gameplay going or them might just be passive. On PC, we have tools to remove said script but I can' speak much about console modding.

Well, I want my character to grow more powerful and in order to that, I have to do quests to get resources to buy/craft said gear. On top of that, I do love some PVP so that encourages me to push harder to gain the equipment that I want.

Not sure but the Xperia flagship phones still have premium headphone Jacks (the only flagship that still offers that option) but Sony's marketing strategy is a bit hit n miss.
