If not for the pandemic, do you think arcades could make a comeback?

With the big trend in retro gaming right now, do you think if it were not for the pandemic, we might see arcades coming back?

The entertainment industry is getting hammered in its public venues. You can blame that on the spreaders of the virus. It's not going to get any better when people are trying to live with a pea sized brain. If they wiggled their head, their brain will fall out their nose.

Arcades aren't much of a thing in the UK anyway.  The only places I've ever seen them are holiday parks, tourist towns, bowling alleys, that sorta thing.  So I'd wager they haven't been affected any worse that anything else in the leisure and tourism industrys.

I'd say that location or country would go a long way in determining if Arcades would make a successful comeback but that doesn't change the fact that the pandemic had a big impact on it.
