Puzzles where the answer seemed obvious after you struggled

It happens to me often, not only in games but even in life generally. You will wonder how you managed to miss the obvious answer that was right in front of you. But that is what makes gaming all the more exciting.

Definitely had a moment like that with *The Witness*. After solving one of those line puzzles, I couldn't believe it stumped me!

In Portal, I get stuck on the puzzle and i was overcomplicating it . what it really needed was different portal permutations. Finally, I realized the solution was simple. It was embarrassing but yes it was also a relief.

I spent days thinking how to switch the correct sequence and what water level is correct in Ocarina of Time.

One puzzle that comes to mind is the water temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I spent hours trying to figure out the water levels and missed an obvious switch. Once I found it, I couldn't believe how simple the solution was.
