When they are kept as pets, they are being kept in captivity in my opinion. Even though I love parrots but because of this feeling, I can't keep them as pets. The Blackangel Posted 14 hours ago Share Posted 14 hours ago I don’t see it being cruel. I’ve had birds for years. We had a macaw and conure, but they got stolen. Right now I have 2 doves. @Rain Dew and I are looking for another macaw. The last one was so sweet that she walked into the bedroom from the front room looking for me one night. I really miss her. The conure I had since she was a hatchling, and I had her for years. As for the cruelty aspect, the same could be said for anything that isn't a human. We also have dogs, rats, and even a dragon.
