Could be a prequel or a hybrid of a prequel/sequel. It could be set in a new version of the matrix? Like there could be alternate realities, maybe? Just spitballing. So many questions! Lol

I'd much prefer a prequel though as we don't really have any backstory as to how this world came to be in the situation it was.
