Why are gamers so interested in review scores?

I personally never cared about the score given to a game in a specific platform, if i like the game, i play it, numbers are numbers at the end and having the majority liking/disliking something has nothing to do with mt personal opinion 😛

I'm on both sides of the argument. Reviews are just opinions, but they can also represent what the majority of people think about the game.

It really depends. Some games I want to hear peoples opinions before I decide to buy it, but if it's a game I know I will enjoy, I don't particularly care to read the reviews. These days, reviews just shill to the big triple A studios anyway so It's kind of hard to listen to some reviews.

This is exactly how it should be because it's something that takes a lot of time and toll on who gets into the game, so it needs to be something worthwhile.
