  1. Mike and Stu from Twisted Metal 2, they seem like Metalheads, but if they break anything I own intentionally I won't invite them back.
  2. I would give up on gaming to watch important films and read classic books. If I had to play something it would probably be an NBA game, a NASCAR game, or a GT game.
  3. I go to sleep around 1 A.M. East Coast American time. I tend to game at around 9-10 P.M. these days.
  4. I might have once, but usually I need darkness to sleep.
  5. I was wondering what the highest rank is in Twisted Metal 4. I had beat about 265 levels and was immortal when I traded in my copy. The game was pretty easy.
  6. If I play an old racing game at a track I'm good at it's like comfort food. I know I've said that before, but it is a purpose some of these games can serve.
  7. R Racing Revolution. I got through story mode easily, but the time trial mode is nearly impossible.
  8. We also had the joystick so my brother could play Star Wars PC games in the late '90's, so there is that.
  9. I think I've put 1,000 hours into GT6. I completed it long ago though.
  10. Well the best reason I heard for all the hate was driving dynamics. Cars end up on their side for too long.
  11. I liked my avatar, NASCAR Racing 2. I watched a lot of mid '90's NASCAR and NR2 didn't seem all that far off even though I used a joystick and not wheel and pedals.
  12. Twisted 3 was a good game, driving dynamics and vehicle handling left something to be desired, but that could be said of almost any Twisted game. The graphics didn't seem that bad by late '90's standards. Yeah, I don't get the unpopularity.
  13. It loaded but I couldn't do anything in the menu. It said it had some error or something.
  14. I bought a copy of Alfa Romeo Racing once that didn't work. I don't know if it was a bootleg though.
  15. I once had the power go out while I was playing a Hoyle PC game. I didn't lose any stats on past wins or losses, but I lost all my Hoyle bucks. I still don't get why I lost some data and not the rest.
  16. I don't know if it was well received or not, but if not, then Twisted Metal 4. It felt like they gave you the tools to win if you were a decent enough gamer compared to Twisted 2.
  17. I used to have a wheel and pedal setup to play NASCAR Racing 2, but then I switched to a joystick. I was playing NR2 from '97 to 2002. My setup wasn't very good anyway, the joystick was a far superior experience.
  18. HP used to have a computer game that came with their PCs where you could cut auto racing practice laps. I forget if there was a race mode though, but just practice laps only really have the objective of trying to learn your car's handling and learn the track.
  19. I have a progress report. Today I played Placer Racer for a few hours while listening to some talk radio and some Metal and I have now reached level 43.
  20. I think NASCAR '99 has to be included. The graphics and game play may leave something to be desired, but the cool NASCAR factoids from the commentators make up for this in my mind.
  21. And the Test Drive with the black Charger on the front form the early 2000's.
  22. NASCAR '99, but the only thing I would want changed are the graphics. Make the cars and tracks look better.
  23. The most invincible I've ever felt in a game was playing Twisted 4 as Super Minion.
  24. Just off the top of my head, GT1, GT2, GT3 had a broken percentage meter, but I'm sure I finished it. I almost completed Dukes of Hazzard Racing For Home, but I scratched the disc before completing the final level. Twisted Metal 4. GT6. GT4 was too hard and GT5 was too long. A few NBA Lives. Test Drive 5. Almost completed Test Drive 4, but the Pitbull Cup was too hard in 4. Almost completed Test Drive Off Road 2, but Ilost 2 Hummer races. NASCAR '99. NASCAR Dirt to Daytona. That's all I can come up with right now, but maybe there were a couple more.
  25. Gran Turismo 6. The graphics are awesome and the Classic Sports Car race in Rome can really turn around a bad day.
