  1. I miss the days of playing stuff like NBA Jam, NFL/NBA street, NFL Blitz, and any other arcade like sports games. We sadly don't see these types of games anymore these days. Why is that? I garauntee they would be crazy popular if done right. I would love to see an NFL Blitz resurgence. That game was awesome, and still is awesome.

What classic arcade style sports games, would you like to see come back?

  2. Moderator Edit: There is already a thread open for this topic, so the two threads have been merged.

This is relatively old news by now, but I'm sure most of you heard a while back that Apple and Google decided to remove Fortnite from their own app stores because Epic Games decided to cut each of them out when they introduced their own currency. Thing is, both Apple and Google require a cut of payment of any DLC/content they release. So, Epic Games went against each of there terms and conditions and is now throwing a fit that it's 1984 because Apple is such a super power and all this nonsense.

Here's my view. They're all greedy, spineless companies that only care about one thing, and that's money. It's not like Apple of Google really need that cut of money, but yet again, it's not like Epic Games can't pay it up. It's just the rich squabbling for more money. I don't care what happens between these companies. Personally I'm not a fan of either of them.

What do you guys think about this situation these companies are in?

  3. Has anyone here played this game yet? It came out a little while ago, and it's blown up since. It's all over twitch, and all over social media. Essentially it's a Battle Royale game where you play a little bean and your objectives from what I see, is racing to a finish line while running through an obstacle course. I have not yet played it, but I am thinking of buying it for PC soon, as I think it'd be fun to stream.

There are different type of levels. If you don't make it to a finish line, you don't qualify. If you fall, you're eliminated. Etc. That's all I know about the game.

Wasn't a fan of any of the Watch dogs games unfortunately, especially about the fiasco that was Watch dogs 2. Feels like Ubisoft did something moderately well with the first game and are just trying to cash in now. I hope Legion is good though

I thought WD2 was a vast improvement over the original game. A lot of people hated on the original game because it was a down-grade from what they announced it as. But for me, Watch Dogs 2 was so much more fun. The point was to utilize hacking a lot, and I think they did a great job with that portion of the game. The shooting and fighting was also nice, and running around the city with that easy parkour movement, was also quite nice.

But it is Ubisoft, so I understand. They're not a very good company these days.

  5. If you were into doing Esports yourself, what game(s) would you guys play? I myself would try my hand at Call of Duty, and maybe Fortnite. Even though I suck at fortnite lol. Other games, maybe the WWE wrestling games, Madden NFL, and some other games. I am no pro, so I probably wouldn't last too long lol.

But if you were a pro, what games would you want to play as a pro?

  6. We already know kinect is done, and won't be featured in the backwards compatibility of the Xbox Series X, but most Xbox original, 360 and One games will be compatible on the new console. Do you think the Xbox One controller will work with the Xbox Series X? I sure hope so, because the way controllers are priced these days, I don't want to have to buy expensive controllers. I've been seeing Xbox One controllers going for like $80 at most places and I don't get it.

What do you guys think? Will the Xbox series x work with Xbox one peripherals? I doubt they would work with the 360 controller though. But that would be cool.

  7. The PlayStation Classic came out a couple years ago by now, and it didn't go over too well. The emulation was mediocre, and a lot of the ISOs on the system were the PAL version and not the US version, which caused issues with some games. Some people were able to modify the device to add other games, which is probably a more appealing idea.

Anyway, this is not about the PS classic. But, about a possible future PS2 classic. Do you think Sony will try their hand at another classic console? I think it would be cool if they released a PS2 classic, but I imagine it would be a pricey one, considering how big games are on the PS2. I could easily see a PS2 classic going for like $100 or more.

    What do you guys think?

  8. Article Source - Forbes

Video games and consoles are selling like crazy, and it's all thanks to the pandemic. With more people home, and some collecting unemployment, people are buying more games then ever. Supposedly the gaming industry made $11.6 billion between April and June of this year. That's crazy!

Have you found yourself buying more games as of late? Or have you maybe even slowed down?

  9. I can't believe no one made a topic about this yet. Who's getting Watch Dogs: Legion when it comes out? It's for sure a day one buy for me, as I really loved Watch Dogs 2. I didn't care for the first game though, but then again, I didn't give it much of a chance.

Anyway, the new change I like about this one, is that you can play as multiple people. You can recruit people all over the in game world, and you can play as them. So essentially you can play as nearly everyone in the game. I believe they still have perma-death, but it's now a toggle option. So if you turn perma-death off, and your character dies, they will instead be put on a cool down and be sent to a hospital. But with perma-death, that person is gone for good. Will you play with it on or off?

Here's a little taste of the game in action:

  10. I'd include Epic Games in that list as well, as it's starting to gain popularity. Helps when they release a ton of free games fairly often. Oh, and Amazon Games is a thing. Got a bunch of games through Twitch prime through Amazon Games, and I haven't downloaded anything yet.

But yeah, I prefer going the route of digital, just easier to deal with. Physical with PC is kind of pointless these days anyway, because it's to the point that some games aren't even coming with discs, just a slip inside a game box.

  11. They don't care, that's the issue. The publishers are forcing devs to make a deadline, and in turn they produce a game not fully complete, so we see the addition of loot boxes and micro-transactions to keep the game going as long as possible.

In reality, I wish most studios were like CD Project Red, who made The Witcher 3. When they make a game, they make sure it's finished or as finished as it can be. And if they do actual DLC, they release big DLC at fair prices.

I'll be honest, I'm okay with micro-transactions. My only issue is when those micro-transactions can be used to get ahead of the game.

If I remember correctly NBA Jam was on SNES? Or maybe it was NBA Slam.. can't exactly remember but I used to play that game quite a bit on the SNES.

Originally the arcades and then consoles I think. I know it was available for the SNES and Sega Genesis back then. I don't recall an NBA Slam though.

For the most part I’m not really into sports games. The only exception is snowboarding games. But that’s because I was a pro-am snowboarder when I was younger. If I had gotten 3 or 4 more years of experience, I would have had a shot at going pro. Unfortunately fate didn’t agree with that option. I dreamed of being the next Picabo Street, but just didn’t get the chance. 😢

SSX Tricky is my favorite snowboarding game. I also get into the Tony Hawk Games and anything relating to skateboarding. Anything revolving around extreme sports is usually fun. 😄

    what about quality??

I've used Power A on Xbox One, and the controller lasted me a long time. The only downside I could find is that they often are just wired controllers and don't have the greatest analog sticks. Mine started to peel and fall apart from the plastic. But, I got an $80 pro controller from them and the build quality for that is fantastic. I'm not sure on the gamecube Switch controllers, but the reviews mostly paint a good picture for them.

With any third party controllers though, there are bound to be some problems. I find Power A to be a good budget controller brand. I'm pretty sure if you want to get an better brand gamecub controller, it might be double in price.

  14. Gaming these days is full of loot boxes and micro-transactions. It seems most games need them these days, and I don't understand why. The whole point of games, is to unlock stuff, and gain more stuff as you go along. Yeah some games may still do this, but I hate it when loot boxes and micro-transactions are needed to get anywhere in game. Sometimes games force you to grind and grind just to get to a point, but you can pay $1 or more to increase your stats, or a "gold" lootbox with a possible chance of getting a special item. It's gambling as well when it comes down to it.

What do you guys think? I'm not a fan of them. If it's just for cosmetics purposes, sure whatever, but if it gives people an edge in the game, I don't agree with it. Maybe single player only for that at the very least.

  15. Do you have the original NES console? The one with the slot loading and the little door on the top. Or, do you own the top loader? I currently own the original NES, but have wanted to own a top loader NES for years now. I hear they're more reliable than the original NES and are cooler looking to some extent.

Which one do you own? Or, do you own both?

  16. It seems cheating in esports happens fairly often. Some who use blatant cheats, while others may screen peek or use a glitch to their advantage. But, it's oh so nice when the cheaters get caught. Here's a video from a few months ago about people caught cheating in esports. Check it.

  17. I don't think they have plans to do a remake, if anything, they'd make a completely new game in the series, or start fresh with an outright reboot.

Now that I think of it, Konami has plans for new Silent Hill games, so, maybe we're going to get a remake for the first 3 games. Kind of like how Capcom did with remaking Resident Evil 1-3. Konami would be crazy not to jump on the bandwagon and produce an updated remake of the first 3 games. I'd buy that.

Plus, they kind of screwed fans over with their original HD edition as it was a mess of a game, and was never patched on the xbox 360. The PS3 version got a patch, but it still had tons of problems from what I heard.

Lets play = gameplays? If so then yes, the reason being a lot of physics based games and the puzzle games are harder to solve on our own. And we have to check out for the gameplays in that case.

Yeah pretty much. Though they will also show the story in full, so all cut-scenes will be played. I like to watch a mix of commentary and no commentary. I only watch games I plan to never play, or wish to play and can't. And I'll sometimes watch them to help me through certain levels.

If you're talking about the game just wearing out from repeated plays, I've had a couple wear out that had to be replaced. If you're talking about wearing out because I put a large amount of buckshot into it, then I've had countless wear out.

Yeah, mostly referring to wearing out over time. 🙂  I figure most of us would have had the problem. My copy of GTA San Andreas is near death, but it still runs like a champ.
