Are you referring to herd animals or animals that live in colonies? Like zebras live in herds and rats live in colonies. Some insects have rather advanced societies as well like ants.

There's no way intelligent life only exists on planet Earth. Have no doubts at all there is alien life out there. We are nothing but a spec of dust in size and in time. Humans always want to think they are so special and above everything else. They believe they are in the likeness of a God. They believe animals are put on this planet to serve man. They believe everything was made for man's needs. And dinosaurs were only here to provide oil. Sadly, humans are nothing but parasites waiting to contaminate cell after cell, or planet after planet. Humans think they are so special that they were magically put here as is. All the planets and sun and moon are all aligned just for us so that we can watch tv, play bingo, and watch gladiators kill.

You also forgot evolution. I believe in evolution. It happens everyday. One animal may have moved to grasslands after their sea dried up. They developed the ability to stand and walk on two legs. They began to eat meat which has an easier protein for brain development. They adapt over time in their environment. Humans have different skin color. The closer to the sun, the darker the skin. As people can evolve, they can also devolve. Just look at us in a political reference; not to jump off topic, but wow, our neighbors just bought a one way ticket to be a lizard. They are on a course to devolution.

  2. Coming in 2021. What do you think of the actors? Both played in Game of Thrones

    Pedro Pascal as Joel

    Bella Ramsey as Ellie

I think it's pretty big roles both are going to play. I really don't know who I'd imagine to act as those characters. I wonder what the clickers are gonna look like.

  3. I choose lizard people because it's outrageous and funny. But I don't believe in any of them except Area 51 having proof of alien life. Live aliens? No. UFO? No. Piece of a UFO wreckage or alien DNA? Yes. There is no way in all the hells that intelligent life only exists here. I wonder what religion would think then? Oh yeah, God created them within the 7 days too. Or maybe the human God played a betting game with the alien God to see which creation is best. Where does evolution fit in? Lizard People!!! And Covid, it may not have been created as a weapon, but sure has been weaponized since its existence by racist and political idiots.

What breed of pig? Because this sure as hell isn't a farm pig. Those things are so god damn stupid they can't see an open 16' gate, or remember where they get fed. I grew up on a stock farm and have raised a lot of animals. The only animal I ever worked with that was any dumber than a pig was sheep. I'm not counting birds in this. And we raised just about everything.

Horses, cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, geese, and even some wild animals as I had pet raccoons. And while they're not exclusively a farm animal, we raised brittany spaniel bird dogs. We had a neighbor who raised pigeons. A couple towns over there were white tail deer, moose, and elk breeders. All bred in captivity.

I think farm pigs are very passive animals, that's why they might seem stupid. And that's why passive people get walked on. But compare farm pigs to wild pigs and everything changes in behavior and looks. That's why the Chinese Lunar Pig is usually represented as a passive person born in that year. And if the pigs would get their eyes up from the ground then they could see the gate! Some pigs would live their whole life and never look up if they could.

  5. Half my gaming or more is exploring. That in itself has inspired my love and aww for gaming. No matter if it's scary, a ruined mess, nice scenery, city scape, or village, I'm there enjoying everything the developers put in the map. I even get caught up playing with wildlife. Even if I finish the story, it will be hard for me to delete the game if there was a big exploration factor. Cause I never know when I want to almost feel the warm sun on a coast, or get cozy in snowy mountains.

I hear the music now. It's putting me in a trance. Put on my camo gear and creep through this jungle. I feel like a wild cat now. Where is my prey? I'm the hunter. This is my domain. Moving slow. This one I want to taste the blood. I will splinter his neck with my blade. Everything feels so quiet and still as if even the birds in the trees are watching and waiting. Leaves fall. Not a breeze at this moment even bothering the leaf in its fall. I will drop him before that leaf graces the Earth.

Lost myself there. Or maybe I found myself. I've been in the jungle too long. Time to go the local bar and walk along the beach. Wonder what quest is in this area. I'll let the sun set behind the sea before I wander the night.

  6. I wouldn't doubt that Activision lawyers approved that it isn't copyright before making the character. And what if the lawyers were wrong? I don't think they should be practicing if they were. At least have the lawyers registered as fuck ups if that were the case. But why even stir the risk in the first place? It's not like Activision is super duper out of character ideas, are they?

The candy cigarettes are real. I remember them from my childhood. They packed enough powdered sugar in the wrapper of them that you could blow out through it once before you unwrapped the cigarette and it looked like you were blowing smoke.

I remember those too!!! Brought back memories coming across that.

  8. I hate waiting for checkpoints especially when I don't start back at the spot I quit at so I would have to play that part over again. I think it was easier to just go to the menu and equip weapons. The newer weapon wheel throws me off sometimes because usually time is still going but slowed, and the pointer never quite clicks on the item I need right away. Sometimes the wheel works great though. So I'm 50/50 on that.

My girl does that all the time. I tried it, and it's not too bad, but not something I can see myself doing.

People think this is strange, but candy to me is jalapeños, dried chili's, and habañeros. I love spicy stuff. I've recently been "training" myself, if you will to be able to withstand ghost peppers. Those things are dangerous to go straight at, but if you work your way up there slowly, then you can handle them eventually.

I know another hybrid has been made that makes the Carolina Reaper look like an antacid, but I can't remember its name or how hot it is.

My favorite movie is 24 hours. There is no intelligence and detective movies that I have watched so that got to the level of 24 hours.

You have watched the tv series too right? I love 24. Drama, action, heroism, decision making, honor, wits. I've got the movie too and the whole series that I am watching off and on.

  11. It's always hard having to choose who dies or how many. I remember taking an ethics class in college and from what I remember, you should make a decision based on what causes the least amount of suffering. It's hard because what may seem like the best decision in the the current situation, may have effects in the long run that could cause even more deaths or suffering. Do you kill 5 now and let one man go who would kill 100 later? Do you save an injured person and put a bunch of other's lives at risk?

Remember Saving Private Ryan? Is one man's life worth 10? Would that one life in return save 100 lives or be a bum on the street? We never know. I was watching an episode of 24 last night. Should you let a nerve gas be released into a mall so you can track a terrorist to other potential attacks using the nerve gas? Let 1,000 die so you could try to save 100,000?

Should you let one young person live in excruciating pain and use the last cure for an old person who would have certain death? Or kill the old person and cure the young one?

The weight of morality is hard to balance sometimes. This kind of stuff in games, they should teach in ethics classes. Instead of boring textbooks. It would be very interactive and timed in your response instead of reading and thinking about it for a week before writing a paper over it. 1st reactions would be very interesting to study in people using video games for ethical decisions. Just a quick dialogue or something, not the whole game of course.

I'm near-sighted, so that is interesting, actually! What's your thinking on how it would relate?

Wow, that might actually be something! Even though the tv is the same distance, we perceive what we are used to seeing anyways. And I like to view things from far, even when I read. I still have good vision reading up close, but I would get a headache. So for me that would make sense that in 1st person mode is better if I didn't have to move so much. All the rules are broken in Dying Light though. Not sure what it is they did to make it work for me. Speed of camera maybe? Speed of character? Distance of objects? Some setting they did with camera optics made it work. Contrast? Color? Motion blur on or off? I don't know. And you being near sighted, there has to be some sort of camera setting in 1st person mode that is easier on your eyes. Wonder what that is. Or it could simply be our perception of things. What we are used to and comfortable with. But you also enjoy scenery in games, so you enjoy to see the view of things too right? So it must come down to speed of the camera or something. Is an interesting topic.

Black light bulbs are a pain to find anywhere other than Spencers around here, and they’re expensive as hell there.

I wish to hell Walmart sold them.

I used to have black lights every where and at one point I used a red light as my main light. I'm not light sensitive or anything, just liked it. Would a red light bulb hurt your eyes?

  14. I do have to say that I was in a recent major battle in a game and I was having fun running around with an axe killing foes, but didn't want it to end. Usually battles like that don't last long in games. I like to feel the essence of battle instead of a quickie. But in this battle, I found that when I returned to areas after killing them, they and my warriors were fighting again. So I got to enjoy the battle as long as my heart desired because the enemy spawned back up in different areas once I left it.

I definitely agree that I hate respawning when I would like to explore my environment. I'm gonna use Dying Light as an example; the environment is amazing and so many times I would just want to stop and walk around and look at all the ruins and dead, but always zombies coming after me. Every now and then though, you get an eery silence with no zombies, or maybe a couple wondering around harmless I loved those moments while I take it all in.

I detest third person because it doesn't feel lifelike and real to me, it breaks my immersion, it is dizzying, and I can't examine small details in the environment. But I can let TLOU off the hook for it because it handles the angles well in combat and it almost feels like first person when it matters most. What are some other games that handle third person well?

I get dizzy in 1st person. Horror games are the exception. As long as the camera doesn't move so fast either 3rd person or 1st person then I'm good. I think scenic outdoor games do 3rd person better and slower horror indoor is better for 1st person. I have played RDR2 in 1st person mode and I actually liked it, especially riding a horse around. Other than that, I'd say no to 1st person in the outdoors. Plus I love seeing my character equipped with awesome gear.

I do have to say, now that I remember, Dying Light was an amazing 1st person outdoor survival horror. They did a great job with it. And it was very immersive that way. So I lied. Forget everything I said. Just depends on the game.

  16. That's a good question cause we can find some interesting differences here if enough people answer it. For me, I find 3rd person to be pretty immersive in games with scenery. The problem with first person I have is that it gives me a headache pretty quick. The reason is that in first person, the camera moves fast and there is a lot of drag and blur. If I were moving slow indoors in a horror game, 1st person is more immersive. I can put myself there easily. Outdoors, it doesn't work as well. I'm always looking all over the place. In third person, as long as the character has a natural flow and the environment looks realistic, or fantastical, I find it very immersive.

Too many quest details written all over the screen, focal points, gear/weapon display, corner map, just plain clutter on the screen breaks immersion right away.

When a doofus nut follows me around in a quest breaks it every time.

Games that allow treasure hunting in story dialogs breaks the immersion of the story.
