  1. Fetch quests, i.e. “Fetch me a bucket,” are pretty much the standard filler for open world games. They’re repetitious, and a lot of people complain that they’re dull. But I know some people who can’t get enough of them. Do you love fetch quests or hate them?
  2. Owing to an issue with my game glitching, I only really got to play through Boone's story during my first playthrough of Fallout NV (I'm going to start my next one soon). But I really have been impressed with all follower interactions I've had in NV compared to other Bethesda games. The characters are just drawn in much more detail, and at least with Boone, I noticed they seem tactically smarter as well. I even found myself getting attached to temporary followers in the DLCs, and wished I could bring them back with me to the main game. Who is your favorite Fallout NV follower?
  3. Nope.
  4. It isn't universal. I'm not sure why it affects some folks and not others. But it's definitely a known issue. I've run into some long discussions about it.
  5. lol, no kidding. It's so shamelessly buggy that I almost swear that is part of its charm.
  6. "This topic is inspired by @killamch89 , who asked me, "If you could be any character in Skyrim, who would you be and why?" Expanding on that, if you had to be any one character in any video game you have played, who would you be and why? Some possible answers for me: 1-Aerin in Skyrim, so I could have Mjoll as my best friend. Finding a BFF like that in real life isn't easy. 2-Leliana in Dragon Age, because she learned how to become comfortable with who she is after suppressing herself for a long time.
  7. What relationships (of any nature, not necessarily romantic) have you found most compelling in games you’ve played? For me, I think the winners are Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us and Booker and Elizabeth in Bioshock Infinite. Kind of funny they’re both similar types of relationships, and both involve Troy Baker voice-acting =D
  8. I haven’t played Mass Effect yet, but someone told me it’s pretty much just a sci-fi Dragon Age. So that definitely sounds like my cup of tea. Who here has played it, and what are your thoughts on it?
  9. Actually, doesn't the game then tell you "this person has already caught you"?
  10. Aranea! She's another of my faves. Like you said, powerful--and I also felt sorry for her being essentially daedra-dumped by Azura with nothing to do. I like bringing her along.
  11. This might sound weird, but one of the things I miss since finishing my first playthrough of Bioshock: Infinite are all the cool, atmospheric sounds in the game. What other games do a great job creating a unique and immersive ambiance through the use of environment sounds?
  12. That's very cool. I never would've thought of law enforcement skills being handy in sales.
  13. I'd be Aerin, so my best friend could be Mjoll.
  14. I'm terrible hahah. If I talk about any one topic for more than five minutes these days, it manages to morph into something about Bioshock Infinite.
  15. Thanks for all the tips and advice! I know one needs to use a rifle and not a shotgun, but to what extent have you discovered it is a numbers game?
  16. Any advice on cold-pitching?
  17. That's an amazing story. Something like that would be close to my worst nightmare. I imagine that recovering from something like that and evolving would do a lot to boost your confidence. Now you know you can rely on yourself to adapt. What were some of the changes you made to how you do business which helped you start over successfully?
  18. Most valuable life lesson learned in 2018?
  19. What got you into studying law?
  20. Are you thinking of the Gauldur Amulet quest which sends you to find three tombs to re-forge the amulet out of fragments?
  21. Question their assumptions. Old enough that I remember the days when we all lied about our ages on the internet. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede.
  22. Any unmarked quests you particularly liked in Skyrim, Fallout, etc?
  23. I’ve noticed with both Fallout 3 and NV, the longer I play the game and the larger my save file gets, the more the map jerks or freezes to the point where eventually the games become unplayable. I’ve heard that this is because the game has so much data to keep track of, and it eventually just overwhelms it. Anyone have any tips for minimizing this issue on my next playthroughs (i.e. not taking the exploding bodies perk)?
  24. So is she, though unfortunately her friendliness involves teeth and claws, so ... maybe not the best idea =D
