  1. I want to know your most controversial opinions about games, the kind of stuff that will make your friends laugh at you and get you banned from certain groups on the internet I'll go first. What inspired this thread was me scrolling through old posts from a few months ago here on the forum, and coming across a thread about Devil May Cry. I actually really, really like the 2013 Devil May Cry reboot. Yes, the one with hipster Dante with the bad haircut. That one. I like the combat, I like the music, I even like Dante's little quips and jokes. To make matters worse, it's the only DMC game I have played that I actually enjoyed. I haven't played played many of them to be fair, but I played a bit of 3 and 5, but I didn't have nearly as much fun as I had with the reboot. I'm probably the only person on the internet that really wanted a sequel to that game. I'll just be over here, waiting to be crucified.
  2. I'm really bummed out by this, I was actually really looking forward to this game. I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall when they first announced that there would be no shared progress multiplayer (me and a friend of mine had been looking forward to playing together), and then announced that it would be capped at 30fps on the Series X at launch. Honestly, for a game to come out in 2023 on current gen hardware and only run at 30fps is a complete deal breaker for me. I will tolerate it for games like Tears of The Kingdom because at this point the Switch is basically a phone with controllers strapped to it, but not on the Series X or PS5. Since it's on gamepass I will probably still give this game a go when/if they release the 60fps patch just to experience the train wreck for myself.

    Atomic Heart

This gave me a good chuckle Are you serious? There is a god damn button mashing mechanic for stealth kills? I don't think I got that far, but that sounds absolutely absurd.
  4. Very understandable, it's definitely a time suck. I started playing it again about a month ago and have spent quite a few hours on i since.
  5. I've tried multiple times over the years to get into Rocket League, but it's never really clicked for me. I can never seem to actually have any real control over the ball 😄

    Atomic Heart

I played about an hour, maybe an hour and a half of this game through gamepass, and I really did not care for it. It just felt really sloppy in my opinion. The controls didn't feel great, the start of the story was all over the place, and there were either two or three on rails vehicle sections in the first 15 minutes or so, which I just found really annoying. The main character is also really insufferable. It might be better in the original Russian, but in English he sounds like a complete ass
  7. I was really into earning achievements and collecting gamerscore back in the 360 era, but not so much any more. If I've beaten a game and see that I am just missing a few, easy to get achievements to 100% the game, I might go back and do them, but not if it involves something I wouldn't consider fun.
  8. I got an Xbox Series X about two months ago, and for me the absolute biggest next gen thing is quick resume. I absolutely love being able to switch between the last couple of games I've been playing in a matter of seconds. I love my PS5 as well, but I really wish it had a similar feature.

    Formula 1

Does anyone else here follow F1? If yes, what drivers and teams do you support? Let's talk!
  10. There are still microtransactions, but they are really easy to ignore. It just purely cosmetics, like weapon and armor skins, ships, mounts and emotes. You can still unlock cool ships and mounts just by playing and getting season XP, and you still get cool weapons and armor from just playing the game.
  11. I have, but not much. It's definitely nowhere as good as Diablo 3, and it's clearly just made as a cash grab. Diablo 4 doesn't come out for another month, on june 2nd. I'm very excited for it.
  12. Does it count as a letdown if I never actually played the game? Many years ago now, I saw an early trailer for a game a new game that was coming out. It looked absolutely awesome. It had an open world, and was focused around a motorcycle gang. You were supposed to be able to customize your bike, and earn respect and work your way up in the gang. At the time, my favorite TV-show was Sons of Anarchy, so this game was right up my alley. Time went on, and I didn't really follow the progress of the game until I suddenly saw that it was coming out in a few weeks. On release day I went to my local game store, but sadly that hadn't gotten it it. I think I ended up buying something else that day, but I can't quite remember. That game was little game called Ride To Hell: Retribution, and it's probably one of the worst games ever made. As I said, I've never actually played it myself, but I've seen enough gameplay to know that it's an absolute clown show. I guess at some point in the development process they ran out of money or something and scrapped the whole open world game that I had been excited for, and instead cobbled together the absolute mess of a game they ended up releasing instead. I guess I really dodged a bullet that day.
  13. Thank you! Turns out that I actually did make an introduction post when I first joined, I just hadn't checked my whole post history. Just wanted to mention that before someone checks and calls me out for being a fraud.
  14. I have what I like to call a dumb smart watch, and I love it. It's called the Amazfit Neo, and it's basically an old school Casio with fitness features. I does not have most of the features that a modern smart watch has, but it tells the time, shows me how many steps I've walked, and the battery lasts for about a month between charges.
  15. Wireless all the way baby. I recently got a wireless mechanical keyboard and cable managed my whole desk setup, so there are finally no visible wires on my desk. My keyboard lasts for about 2 weeks before I need to charge it, my headset for about 30 hours, and my mouse lasts for months upon months on one battery, so I very rarely need to have a cable there to charge anything. Both my mouse and keyboard are made by Logitech, who have damn near perfected wireless transmission in my opinon, so there is absolutely no noticeable input lag. The only thing that I do prefer wired, as others have pointed out, is internet. My PC and consoles are all wired up with ethernet, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  16. I really don't mind it at all. I have been playing it a lot over the last month or so, so I decided to pick up the past 3 expansions (not including Lightfall) as there was a bundle deal 50% of at the time. I've been having a lot of fun, so I got a friend of mine to download it yesterday and we played through a few Vanguard missions together. It was a lot of fun, but he probably would not have bothered to pick up the game if it was not free to play.
  17. I'm currently playing the Resident Evil 4 Remake, and I'm loving it so far. Never actually played the original, so I was very excited to see what all the fuss was about, and so far it's living up to the hype.
  18. Hello everyone, my name is Anders. I created an account on this forum a little over two years ago, made a few posts, and then frankly kind of forgot about the whole thing. Well, I just logged back in, and it seems I never made an introduction. I am 30 years old, live in Norway, and have played video games for as long as I can remember. I love pretty much everything about gaming, from playing new games, to collecting old games and hardware. I'm also an avid photography enthusiast, both analog and digital, and I also dabble in playing both guitar and bass. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!
  19. My number one has to be Diablo 3. I have probably beat that game close to 10 times, and I own it for almost every platform it came out on, just missing a PS3 copy.
  20. I've played Philosophers Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Quidditch World Cup, both LEGO games and Hogwarts Legacy. Out of those my favorites are probably Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. I have so many fond memories of both of them. I have heard people say Prisoner of Azkaban is not that great compared to the first two, but for 13 year old me, flying around Hogwarts on Buckbeak was an absolutely mindblowing experiance.
  21. I remember setting mine to Underground because teenage me though it sounded cool, even though I had very little idea of what it actually did. The first thing that comes to mind for me is that on the PS2, you can rotate the PlayStation logo so that you can have it the right way up both in horizontal and vertical mode. I just learned this quite recently and was blown away.
  22. Is Silicon Valley considered a sitcom? I absolutely love that show. I've seen it all twice, and would love to back and watch it all again.
  23. I managed to get a Switch on launch day. I went to the only electronics store in my small town about 15 minutes before they opened, and there was only one other guy already waiting there. After a few minutes a few other people showed up, but me and the other guy that was there before me each got one of the two neon colored Switches they had in stock. A had also preordered an Xbox One before they came out, but it ended up getting delayed almost a full year in my country, so about 4-5 months after it was originally supposed to come out I just cancelled my preorder and bought a PS4 instead.
  24. I'm gonna go back and finish Cyberpunk, but at this point I'm waiting for a couple of more patches before I jump back in. I'm one of the people who actually really liked Cyberpunk, I just stopped playing for a while when I was away for Christmas, and haven't gotten back into it yet. Other than that, the only game I'm really looking forward to right now is Persona 5 Stikers. I really loved Persona 5, so I'm pretty exited for this one. Oh, and I'm gonna get a PS5 as soon as they're available again. Really looking forward to that.
  25. The only third party store I've ever bought steam keys from is Humble Bundle, which I consider to be 100% legit. I'd rather spend a few bucks more than buy sketchy, potentially stolen keys from sites like G2A
