The Terminator - 10/10
-
Yep, that was me and the game was indeed Silent Hill back on the PS1. The iconic fog effect was used to mask the fact the PS1 found it difficult to render 3D. The decision turned out to be a hit, as obviously the fog went on to become a staple in the Konami horror franchise.

Strangely enough, I find it fairly easy to go from Fallout to Skyrim and vice versa controls-wise. I think I've just played them a lot together in many gaming sessions for my brain to get over the little differences. In all, I'd say I prefer Skyrim's slightly more easy-to-pick-up controls over Fallout, but there's not much in it tbh. I think some of Fallout 76's menus are a little annoying - but I think that comes down to there being a lot more freedom to do more things in that game, if that makes sense. In stark contrast, I found Dragon Age's control scheme to be very off-putting. But I'm not a huge fan of that game's pseudo real-time/turn-based combat amalgamation. It takes some getting used to, put it that way...

Personally, Point Lookout is my favourite of the DLC expansions for Fallout 3. I love it when DLC just drops you in a large, unexplored, mysterious map and tasks you with exploring the entire region. The dilapitaded swamps were very atmospheric and I liked seeing the new monsters as well. Because of this, I also adored the Old World Blues DLC in Fallout New Vegas for very similar reasons.

I’d be totally up for revisiting The Matrix tbh. I think one more story with Keanu Reeves can be told, I’m sure. Get the right script and tone, and I’d be happy to watch another The Matrix movie. The sequels got progressively worse, sure, but the first is so legendary and iconic. Long story short, I’d definitely go see another Matrix movie, but it’s important that it stars Keanu, man. Per your question, I’d probably prefer a continuation over a reboot, personally.

What book universe would make a great game series?
DylanC replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
I’m a big fan of Michael Crichton and many of his books have been adapted into lots of good movies, but The Andromeda Strain, Sphere and Prey could make for some great source material for tech noir horror games. Sphere is a lot like Bioshock and takes place at the bottom of the sea, so that would make for a compelling environment, for example. -
