  1. I remember I was around 3/4 years old when I first started gaming. It was my dad that got me and my brothers into gaming when he allowed us to use his Atari that he still had to start playing games. From then we moved to the Amiga, over to the Sega Master System, the Gameboy and the Super Nintendo and just carried on from there.
  2. I would have to say any games that need a lot of thought and are very strategy based are games I am not great at and do find that I tend to get bored of them too easily. I don't mind some games with a little strategy and thought needing to be put into it but too much, and I tend to turn the game off.
  3. I am wanting to get back onto Hogwarts Legacy and continue playing that. I started playing it a few months ago now and enjoyed it when I started playing but time has not allowed for me to get back on and spend some time playing it since then. Hopefully when things start to calm down, I will be able to dedicate some time to the game as it is a great game.
  4. I played some Monopoly Go a little bit ago on my phone. I have been wanting to play more of the new season of Fortnite but my internet has been terrible over this past weekend so waiting for that to fix itself before I attempt to play games online on Fortnite.
  5. Whilst cloud gaming is becoming popular, I still feel that there is a lot of work to be done before it can become the only way to play online. Since the release of cloud gaming with Xbox, I have noticed a huge difference in stability but for them to move solely to cloud gaming, a lot more would need to be done to make it stable enough that it would not have constant issues.
  6. This is not a tough decision for me. It has to be Ori and the Will of the Wisps, one of my favourites and one I find myself going back to so many times when I have the time. I would love to see more games brought out in the franchise and do hope to see that soon.
  7. The price tag for official storage devices, especially ones for the Xbox Series X and S are quite steep. I know there are some third party ones out there as a few years ago, I bought my three son's one each for Christmas and they have had no issues with them. I believe if I remember rightly it was the Seagate external storage for the Xbox Series S.
  8. I am not too much of a horror game fan but I have played some horror games on Xbox and they do have some great ones but I will agree that Xbox should consider more horror games that are exclusive to their console. I am actually quite surprised that they have not looked into bringing more exclusive horror games to their console, they seem to be quite popular and would elevate the platform.
  9. Don't get me wrong, I loved Halo, Gears of War and also love the Forza games too but I agree, they do lack in exclusives in other genres. I would love to see more puzzle games exclusive on Xbox, that seems to be what they are lacking the most.
  10. I used to use the Xbox Mobile App a lot but due to not gaming as much as I was, I tend to only use it now if I need to. I used to use it a lot for checking out new games and even contacting friends on Xbox when they were more active.
  11. This tends to be a mixed bag when we see game reviews from professionals. In some cases, I have known the game reviews to be quite accurate but then I have come across some game reviews that have been not so accurate. This is one of the reasons I don't always take reviews as a final decision for games and instead will take a look at those playing the game live or those who have made videos as they tend to be more accurate.
  12. A cozy game to me is something that I can chill out on, relax and just do little things that don't take too much skill. One game I would class as being cozy would be Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That game is chill, relaxing and there is so much you can do that helps you chill out.
  13. I would have to say that PUBG is one game that I found to be overrated. I remember when it was newly released and everyone was playing it and as much as I was interested in it due to the gameplay and also the popularity of the game, once I did play it, I couldn't really see the appeal and found it to be more overrated than anything else. I feel with PUBG, it was the movement and how slow the gameplay was that put me off.
  14. This past Halloween I saw so many people playing Phasmophobia and that seemed to be the most popular one. I have not played Phasmophobia myself but from those I know of who have played it, they say it is worth playing and great if you are looking for something scary to play on Halloween.
  15. I don't mind playing games with or without AI as long as the AI is implemented well into the game and it does not cause issues with the game or make it so that the game becomes difficult due to their actions. Fortnite is one where I feel the AI need work, you can hire certain characters in the game to help you but I tend to avoid that as they tend to do things that alert you to enemies or glitch out causing you to be seen.
  16. I have played many games that have been either bleak or grim and I have found that as long as I know that is what is involved in the game and I know what to prepare myself for, I have no issues playing games like this. I do know for some people grim or bleak games are a no-go due to how it makes them feel, I would probably be the same but I check before I play any games that seem to be quite grim or bleak so that I know.
  17. If I remember rightly, I believe the first game that I got on Steam was Left 4 Dead 2 as I wanted to play and have the ability to use mods on the game. I will admit, as much as I do have steam, I don't use it as much as I would have liked to due to limited time for gaming.
  18. The last game I played was Fortnite just last night to check out the new season. I will admit, I am glad this season is a short one as I am not a huge fan of Star Wars but will play through the battle pass to collect the vBucks 🙂
  19. This is a tough one as you will always get gamers who prefer to see the games stay as they are but then you will get younger gamers who play these games, and complain because things are not the same anymore due to the shift in society. I personally prefer to see the games stay as they are regardless of the shift in society.
  20. It is a fun game to play with a lot to do. I always find myself playing it just to chill out and play something different if I am starting to burn out on another game. I love the different events and game modes they have going on 🙂
  21. This is a game that would be ideal for my eldest son. He is a huge football fan and also loves VR and plays a lot. I know he was playing a football game for some time a few weeks ago but it didn't seem like it needed a lot of space for movement. Looks as though this game would need a lot of space and would mean a lot of activity.
  22. I will admit, I am actually surprised that we are now using VR for more social experiences yet. I know with VR at the moment there is the option to do some things such as I believe YouTube is available and I heard that Netflix may be as well so that is a start. I would say with the way things are developing, we could be a few years to maybe 5 years away from seeing advancements in VR technology giving users the ability to use VR for more than just gaming.
  23. I find VR to be immersive enough that I don't feel the need to want to play with a group of friends, playing alone when I do I find enough and I enjoy my time playing on the VR. My youngest son does have a group of friends he knows, friends from school and from our neighbourhood who he plays with and he enjoys playing in a group when they are online.
  24. My youngest son asked me today if I could renew Meta Quest + for this month as there was a game he wanted to play on there so I did. I noticed this game on there and was quite curious about it. My kids love to play sports games and have played Nintendo Switch Sports a lot since we purchased that around three years ago now, this could very well be a game that they enjoy in VR. Will let them know and get them to check it out.
  25. I have only used a VR headset a few times but have used one both with full body movement and seated and I have found that I much prefer to be seated when playing than standing with full body movement. I found that when I was doing full body movement, it made me dizzy and a little nauseous whereas seated was a lot different.
