  1. I am binging The Rookie on Hulu. I'm halfway through season 5 and then I will be current with season 6, which is airing now.
  2. I've cracked way too many phones than I care to admit, lol. I now have a Supcase Beetle on my s23 Ultra. It's makes my big phone look even bigger with it's 1/4" rubber/plastic case all around it, but I'm tired of buying phones already, lol.
  3. My wife and my daughter both said the Zelda games are fantastic (part 1 being Breath of the Wild, I believe). They know I am a Final Fantasy fan and they say that the latest Zelda games would be right up my alley.
  4. This is a tough question. I like the concept of the new PS Portal, delivering the PS5 experience on a handheld device, albeit streaming from the main unit. I would not be interested in a handheld that delivered a subpar experience. It has to be at least on par with the Switch, now that Nintendo raised the bar.
  5. I've heard that the Infamous series goes back to past console generations, before Second Son and New Light. I certainly wouldn't mind if they remade these for the current generation.
  6. 10 video games that desperately need a remake in 2024 Do you agree with this list? https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/10-video-games-desperately-need-remake-2024 A lot of those games mentioned are from a time in my life when I took a sabbatical from playing games to start a business and a family. But, I can wholeheartedly agree on the Final Fantasy mentions, especially FF6. And, I would absolutely die to see Chrono Trigger remade today.
  7. What Makes a Video Game a Masterpiece? Is it the Storytelling/Narrative? Uniqueness? Innovative Gameplay and Mechanics? Art Direction and Graphics? or the Soud Design and Music? Or is it all of the above? This article tackles this question... https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/gaming/what-makes-a-video-game-a-masterpiece/ar-BB1iIAZe ...but it would be interesting to hear your responses as well 🙂
  8. The biggest news for Nintendo fans is the possibility of the developer releasing its next console in 2025, currently only referred to as the "Switch 2." The console was originally rumored to launch sometime in late 2024, but more recent reports suggest it could be released in early 2025 instead. The good news is that a 2025 Switch 2 release could also mean Metroid Prime 4 is finally on the horizon, but that remains to be seen. At the very least, with every game confirmed and the possibility of even more big titles and a new Nintendo console, 2025 already looks like another big year for gaming. 9. 2025 game releases are set to rival 2023... https://www.msn.com/en-xl/entertainment/other/2025-is-already-stacked-to-be-another-2023-in-video-games/ar-BB1jCCH9 Coming soon... Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5) Grand Theft Auto 6 (PS5, XSX/S) Monster Hunter Wilds (PC, PS5, XSX/S) Pokemon Legends: Z-A (Switch) Assassin's Creed: Codename Red Judas Marathon Path of Exile 2 Are you looking forward to any of these games currently slated for a 2025 release??
  10. Lol. Supposedly today is Mario day... https://www.benzinga.com/general/gaming/24/03/37576590/why-is-march-10-celebrated-as-mario-day-the-history-of-the-iconic-video-game-character Today marks the annual celebration of one of the most iconic video franchises and characters of all time. The date March 10 written in abbreviated form spells out Mario, with the “1” and zero replaced by the letters “I” and “O.”
  11. I would hope so. PS4 was my first time dipping my toes into the world of PlayStation and I played Infamous: New Light first, and THEN it was that I played Infamous: Second Son. Both of these games were fantastic and I would absolutely love another.
  12. I love the PS5 design. It looks like a slick tuxedo, lol.
  13. If I absolutely LOVED the first game, then I will likely buy the DLC to keep playing it. But if I was playing the original game just wanting it to be over so I could move onto something else, then you won't see me getting the DLC so I can suffer longer, lol
  14. Other interests. I grew up, started a business, got married, and had kids. These take priority over games. I'm overbooked for the next several months, which means I will probably start working extra hours and Saturdays. That will make Sundays the only day I can play... maybe. I also am involved in online communities, and dabble in YouTube. I really need to pick ONE hobby and stick with that, lol
  15. I finished FF16. Amazing game. Amazing story. I wasn't satisfied with the ending though. I was a completionist with this one so there is literally nothing left for me to do except start it over with New Game+ which I guess is harder the 2nd time around. But I have shelved it for now in favor of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (part 2) which is absolutely fantastic!
  16. The original 1997 Final Fantasy 7 is indeed being remade as a 3 part trilogy. Part 1: Remake came out in 2020. Part 2:Rebirth came out a little over a week ago. And Part 3 is probably 2-4 years into the future yet.
  17. Would you believe I am taking my wife and daughter and we are going to see Labyrinth (1986, David Bowie) in the Cinemark theatre this evening? I have it on Blue-Ray and streaming, but there is something about the big screen 😄
  18. Okay, the slap fighting thing is truly ridiculous, lol. It's even funnier that they have a crowd and "sports announcers" lol. You would think this is a gag, but it's legit.
  19. Here's one from my favorite band, Faith No More. It was on their 2015 Album, but had been occasionally teased in live performances priot to that, such as this 2011 performance....
  20. I think you meant the Wii-U. The first Wii was a blazing success.
  21. I will mention this to them. They love the Switch. I am admittedly team Playstation, when I am not busy in real life, so I don't pay much attention to the world of video games outside this arena.
  22. Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 got a lot of recognition. Both of those games look like they might be worth the investment. I always wonder if I should try to go back and play the previous ones first or just stick to the latest releases.
  23. I am starting to renege on this position of mine. I've started playing FF16 and FF7 Rebirth and the action will be so fast that everything looks blurry. I switched it to Performance Mode and it's a lot clearer at 60fps. After a while I tried switching back to Graphics mode and it was giving me a headache. I may just be a convert now, lol.
  24. It came out in 1979, about 2 years after the Atari 2600. I was an 80's kid and remember playing on my friends. Remember there was also an Atari 7800? It came out in 1984, a year before Nintendo came along and eclipsed the market.
  25. There is some truth to this. We live in the era of singles now. But back when I was younger, an album was a complete experience. Songs were crafted and tracked in a certain order. Some songs would lead into other songs, or share the same theme. Making sure you had a hour to sit down and digest the whole album was a must, But the experience today isn't like that anymore.
