  1. It would make sense, but those places aren't cushy enough. Also it would force executives to be around us peasants. We pay their salary, but we're still the fools that buy into their game. You show me an executive who can name 3 games their company produces, and I'll show you someone fast on google.
  2. I like certain movies on occasion that are either musicals or feature a lot of music. In no particular order, some of my favorites are: Cry Baby Sweeney Todd Phantom Of The Opera Nightmare Before Xmas Some can do it well, while others are so ear-bleedingly horrible that you want to bust your eardrums so you never have to be subjected to that horror again.
  3. If I was to get one, I would wait a while they address some of the design flaws, such as the overheating. The only thing I know about it is that it uses a USB-C cable instead of the cable that Apple products have always used. Which would kinda piss me off as we have had to buy several of them over the years.
  4. You can always trade it in for a good discount towards whatever phone you're going for. I traded in my iPhone 6 for the iPhone 12, and it covered a little more than half the cost. So it can often be worth it.
  5. Actually, the Virtual Boy was Nintendo's biggest flop. It was pulled 5 months after its initial release. The Wii U was massively more successful than the Virtual Boy. There are a lot of games you can get on both handheld consoles and smartphones. But there are also exclusives. Think games like The Legend Of Zelda. Nintendo leased it one time and has never even come close to considering leasing it since. Each of the big 3 has their exclusives. Xbox has Halo. PlayStation has God Of War. Nintendo has Mario and Zelda. Though Mario has been leased a couple times in recent memory. To be fair, as far as I know Xbox hasn't come out with a handheld. But to get back to my point, while both hand held systems and smart devices can share a dew, the range of exclusives to one or the other can't really compare.
  6. Initially I liked DKC on the SNES a lot. The graphics were something that, at that time, amazed me. But as time went on, I grew to despise the entire DKC franchise. I've beaten the first two DKC games, and have the third one (just to complete the SNES trilogy) but will never play any of them again. They just piss me off too much, and I value my blood pressure too much to waste it on them. I don't need a damn brain hemorrhage.
  7. I wasn't listing sports/games that I didn't like. Just ones that don't ring out as "sport" to me. If I was listing ones I didn't like, baseball would have topped the list. I personally hate baseball. But it's still a sport. As for quidditch, it has become a real game. There is a quidditch league here. How they altered it around to make it playable to people who aren't flying around on brooms, I don't know. But it has moved beyond Rowling into the world of reality.
  8. We all like a challenge. But sometimes that challenge is way beyond our skills. But we still love taking on that challenge. For me, it's Cuphead. I have been playing it for probably close to 2 years now, but have still never made it past the first level. But, despite that, I still love the damn game, even if it is a bastard. I think it's both fun and funny that I can't get past the first frickin' level. So what games do you find hard as hell, but no matter how bad you are at it, you still love the game?
  9. There are actually two different versions of what is labeled "Mario 2". The one we got here in the states was the one where Mario is actually asleep dreaming, but you don't find out until after you beat the final boss Wart. A frog that doesn't like vegetables. But there was also another one that, here, we know it as SMB The Lost Levels. It's the same graphical style as the original SMB game, but is a hell of a lot harder. Here we got the Mario dreaming one. But around the world, different countries saw different games. So which did you get where you live?
  10. Boy Meets Boy Xena/Hercules Those are the modern(ish) shows that come to mind for me. There are several 80's shows that I would list, but could never be matched. Also in today's political climate, it would be hard to even do the shows justice as they would be overly limited. Especially shows like Alf.
  11. We saw it in the theater. It was awesome. In many ways, I would say it's better than the first one. I bought it for @Rain Dew when it hit the shelves, as she absolutely LOVES the movie.
  12. Like @CoryAR my favorite tends to fluctuate. Currently though, the one that I'm enjoying the most is Baphomet by Satanic Planet. Here's the lyrics for those who can't understand what they're singing. As it is above / so it is below As moon is to sun / the two become one On the surface / and on purpose A war on reason / waged in treason Half demented / false recollected A fictitious past / is resurrected Satan we’ve grown Cruel / benevolent The infidel hierophant The truth / the liar The frozen and the fire The loved / the hated The words all left unstated Atop / and under The silence and the thunder The ugly / the beautiful The two sides of the spectacle The wolves / are as the sheep The dreamer is not asleep Stationary radical / human animal An open minded zealot Grotesque angelic The gain that comes from a loss Order and chaos A lawless moral order Healing a murder A feast best left uneaten Flawless yet beaten Alone becoming one of us Witless genius
  13. Tennis is number one to me. A spectator is going to need a neck brace halfway in because the only thing they do is look from left to right for however long it takes. And don't even get me started on that bullshit scoring system. Golf would be a second one. Whack the ball, get in the cart. Whack the ball, get in the cart. Whack the ball, get in the cart. Whack the ball, get in the cart. What the ball into the water, get pissed, throw your clubs in with it. A few dishonorable mentions are badminton, cricket, ping pong, handball and (🤢🤮) quiddtich. This Wikipedia page lists more than I'm going to try.
  14. @Lamarr the strelok @Reality vs Adventure Welcome to the fourth reich.
  15. Ave and welcome. It's interesting to have a dinosaur fan here. I'm just curious what your opinion of the whole Jurassic Park/World franchise is. This includes both the movies and the games.
  16. I have listened to a bit of it, and I like it. Which is weird because I absolutely DESPISE the bubblegum pop bullshit that we have to suffer through here. I'm a metalhead for the most part. Underground metal mostly as well as underground rap. Pop makes me want to slap the shit out of whoever wrote the damn song. Yet I like KPOP.
  17. I don't remember exactly when, but @Rain Dew got me an Xbox One a few years ago because there was one game I wanted which was an Xbox exclusive at the time. It has since been released on Steam, so now I honestly don't touch my Xbox unless my hand bumps it. I'm thinking I may start gaming on it again. I just have to figure out what I want to play.
  18. I use a TV as a monitor. In my opinion it's leaps and bounds better than a monitor. The image is crystal clear, and it has the functions of a TV, whereas a monitor doesn't. At least as far as I know it doesn't. So I highly recommend using a TV instead of a monitor.
  19. I have the Super Game Boy too. For those who don't know what that is, it's a SNES cart that you can put a Game Boy game into and play it on your SNES. It was only built for the original cart design, as it came out decades before the GBA was released.
  20. I have owned every Game Boy version, as well as random attachments like the Light Boy. I still play it to this day. But I played on a GBASP, since it can just be recharged instead of having to buy batteries all the damn time. I loved it as a kid, and love it now.
  21. When it comes to announcing any kind of release date, it would be a fool’s errand to actually put any real stock in whatever date they give. These days, everything in gaming gets bumped back at least twice. Many things get bumped back more than twice. For what it’s worth, a lot of gamers consider the Oled to be the “Switch 2” if you will. For my opinion, I honestly don’t know where they could really go from here. They have VR, and have released a hybrid system which is one of the most popular Nintendo devices ever. So if you ask me, they have kinda shot them selves in the foot.
  22. I started to post this on the thread asking if games are too “woke” then realized that it added nothing to further the conversation so I’m starting this here. I am so sick of all this “woke” bullshit. The word “woke” is nothing but the current popular buzz word, that not a single goddamn republiKKKLanazi can even fucking define. What fount of stupidity is next? Will we be curtain? Tin can? Feline menstruation? Where will it end? Well I got news for you: It WON’T end. If we don’t do something RIGHT GODDAMN NOW then we’re doing nothing more than bowing down, while simultaneously welcoming the ass raping that we get. And we’ll deserve it for giving in. Attempting to vote them out would be the best way if they weren’t already picking up weapons and literally calling for secession and another civil war. ”Woke” isn’t even a meaningful word. All it means is that you’re not sleeping. That’s what “woke” is. Or, was. American English has no connection of any kind to English English. The English we spoke 250+ years ago is no longer present in American. The right wing has been redefining every damn word they can to the point if someone from the UK was to come here for a vacation, there would be a language barrier that would be worse than Akkadian trying to understand Mandarin Chinese. A dead tongue that literally no one, including historians and linguists, can speak. And all because they have to do what they can/want to rewrite both facts and history to fit their completely fucked up agenda. Because there are only two things that ever have, or ever will matter to them: Power and money.
  23. I've never trusted 3rd party controllers, simply because they have never lasted. Within a month to two months it was trashcan filler. But after reading this, I would be willing to try it if I was to decide to get a third party. One nitpicky thing, is that to me it looks more like the PS5 controller than the PS4 controller. But that may just be me. It is really interesting to hear someone speaking positively about third party anything. That said, I can't say much else because, while I have seen a few things about it, I haven't used it. So I'm not allowed an opinion on performance. I've never owned a monkey, so I can't comment on their behaviour. Same thing. Either way, great review.
  24. This got fucking creepy for me PERSONALLY. While I was watching this, at the second video my power surged twice and then WENT OUT! I was genuinely freaked out. And it was only on the second game in the video.😱
  25. I’ve played Outlast and Outlast 2. I have them both on my Switch. I like them portable because I can go to a room, block off all light and sound, then get going. I especially enjoy doing that with Layers Of Fear.
