Sooner or later, all platforms will phase out physical media and go entirely digital. We can already see it happening with the PS5 digital and Xbox Series S consoles. Nintendo is halfway there. A lot of titles are exclusively digital. AAA titles and Nintendo exclusives are still available either way. For me personally, I prefer physical media. I still buy CD’s. And with the systems out now, I just don’t get the point of digital only. Even if you never use it, I think it makes more sense to get a console that can run discs. You may never need it, but to intentionally deny yourself the option just doesn’t make sense to me. For example I have RDR2 on disc, but if I was to buy a digital system, I would have to buy the game all over again.

I’ve never actually tried it docked. I’ve always played mine handheld. Initially I had a Switch Lite, so it wasn’t an option. But I’ve been using a regular Switch for a few years now, and have so far never have taken advantage of the docking feature.

I think there are already SSB leagues. But what you call “retro” is what I call “daily”. I play NES and SNES all the time. I also play Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, N64, PS1, Game Boy, and a few scragglers from other platforms. The only current games of today are things like The Dark Pictures Anthology, RDR2, Layers Of Fear, Outlast, and random indie titles.

All 3 that you mentioned. Free climbing seems like it would be awesome but I’m too afraid of heights for any of the mentioned.

I’m ungodly claustrophobic. There’s times when I have to run outside because I feel like I’m being caged in, and the walls are closing in fast.

Terrified of heights. I’m over 6’ tall, and I don’t like being that high up.

I’m a MO native too, and those damn things are everywhere. Another we have to deal with here in my area is black widows. Beautiful to look at, but otherwise I don’t want a damn thing to do with them.

Does Xbox even have any exclusives other than Halo? Not including any they got from Activision-Blizzard.

When I was in boot camp we were thrown into the water from a 20’ high platform. That’s the highest for me. I’m not friends with the water, so I’ll stick to dipping my toes in the surf while on the beach.

For remakes, I would like to see RDR1 remade to the same graphics in RDR2. As for reboots I would like to see early GoW games released. Now to go back to PS1, I would love to see Castlevania SOTN rereleased on current consoles. It’s possibly my favorite Castlevania game. Another one that should be brought back is the original Bushido Blade. I loved it. I can’t comment on anything PS2, because I missed the entire era.

PlayStation is a major player in the world of gaming. It will never be out of the running. But I don’t think they can even compare to Nintendo when it comes to exclusives. No games will ever challenge Zelda and Mario for dominance. Part of it is because they had been around for 20 years when PlayStation was introduced to the market. GoW was a great franchise. But after the PS4 disaster, the series lost a lot of fans. If they wanted to do something like that where Kratos suddenly had a child whom he was fighting alongside with, they should have just created a new game in a new franchise. I personally don’t play any GoW games after the PS3. Those are the only good ones in my opinion. Zelda and Mario have had games that were an abomination, but they’ve never bee rattled by it. No exclusives will ever reach the level Z&M are on.

The Zelda franchise is one of the most loved franchises in gaming history. Whether or not a gamer likes it, or Nintendo in general, all gamers know of the series and what the premise is. Now there are a hell of a lot of entries, some of which flopped so hard they left cracks in the ground. Some were beyond overdone or too ambitious for the time. Twilight Princess was a great game, but they failed in their attempt at an open world game. A lot of people hated Windwaker for a number of reasons, myself included. I hated the animation style, and why Link suddenly has a sister that never existed before. Cadence Of Hyrule was almost universally hated. I myself am not the biggest fan of BOTW because your weapons break after just a few hits. Until the master sword makes its appearance you have to keep grabbing new items to use as a weapon. Then the limited inventory is another bullshit screwup on the part of Nintendo. Also if you’re lucky, you might find around 4 rupees. Money is so rare, it’s ridiculous. But you can’t really talk about the Zelda franchise without giving props to the one game that got the series hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of new fans of the franchise: Ocarina Of Time. The only Nintendo franchise that can even begin to compare is Mario games.

Nothing justifies a price like that when you can pick up one for $5 from Walmart. But the name brand on it is what will let it sell out even though it only has $10 worth of parts in it. But this is Nintendo we’re talking about. Despite having been here for 150 years, they’re still greedy as hell.

Sadly though, we often don’t have the option of not believing it. Especially here in politics. The American political situation is literally life threatening. There was a shop owner in California that was murdered for displaying a pride flag last year, because some bigoted piece of shit has a problem with those of us in the LGBTQ+ community. Canada actually issued a warning to their citizens about how dangerous it is in the US due to the political climate. I honestly wouldn’t recommend that ANYONE even consider a trip here right now. With a hell of a lot of people here, you’re at extreme risk of everything from being beaten, to going home in a pine box. As soon as they find out that you’re a foreigner, you’re in their crosshairs. Telling them that it’s just a vacation and that you’re here as a tourist, or here to visit family doesn’t matter to them. It’s to the point that news channels don’t even bother covering it anymore. Save your own life. Don’t come here.

I thought you would bring up Rose Hall, but I also thought you might mention duppies as well. While I’m not afraid of her, searching for Molly Crenshaw is a bit of a rite of passage here. Her story is a little long, so heres a link to it. Snipe hunting is another if someone is dumb enough to fall for it. We also have our own version of Bigfoot as well, that’s known as Momo. Missouri (MO) monster. Hence, Momo. Most states have a Bigfoot story. There’s the skunk ape, which I think is Floridas Bigfoot. Then there’s the traditional Bigfoot up in the Washington/Oregon area on the American side, and British Columbia/Alberta area on the Canadian side of the border.

My gramma was the sweetest woman who ever lived. She didn’t know the meaning of the word “hate”. There were people she wasn’t particularly a fan of, but she was never unkind to anyone. She would give you the shirt off her back, while stuck outside in a blizzard if you needed it. She was also literally the only person who ever loved me and treated me with any kind of respect and dignity. I’m glad I got to live with her for so many years. RIP Gramma.

No one is a fan of every single creature on earth. This isn’t a phobia or thing that happened while you were high/drunk. It has to be a sober, hate. For me it’s flamingos. I hate them. We were at the San Diego zoo several years ago, and they have a spot where you can get a bit of food and feed them. We were doing that and several were coming up. Well I was feeding one and the bastard bit me! I hollered and ended up dropping the food into the water. Ever since then, I’ve hated flamingos.
