  1. Once again, it was FF8 for me.
  2. Have any of you ever played a game that had no ending, but instead just stopped? For example, I have a DDL on my Switch that’s called Goblin Sword. It’s designed in the same graphical style of what you would see on the Sega Genesis. But it has no ending. It goes through several different areas like the forest and a castle. Each area has a miniboss that you have to beat to unlock the next area. But there is no boss match that would be the climax to the game. It just stops. There is no objective to anything you do since there’s literally no ending. It’s like going for a walk and you just stop walking and stand there doing nothing. I’ve played a lot of games in my time, but when I find one that pulls this kind of shit, I end up pissed off because I actually spent money on a game that must have been abandoned by the devs but released anyway. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
  3. This is such bullshit. They can't trademark/copyright a word that has been in the English language since LONG before they existed. For thousands of years that word has been around. Monster Energy is what, 20 years old? And on top of that are they going to try to trademark/copyright it in all languages, or just English? Spanish - monstruo French - monstre Irish - ollphéist Scottish - uilebheist Maori - taniwha Icelandic - skrímsli This is some serious snowflake bullshit. You can't copyright a word if you didn't invent it. If they were called gooberflabben, they could probably trademark/copyright. The only thing they can actually trademark/copyright is their god damn logo.
  4. I found this on Google. It looks like it came in a hell of a lot of colors.
  5. This video absolutely hilarious. I watched it several times before I came here to post it.
  6. I have to disagree on that. It's not truly an authentic experience when it's emulated. That's like saying that riding a roller coaster in a virtual reality machine is the same as riding the actual roller coaster. Yeah, you "rode" it, but it wasn't an "authentic" ride.
  7. I have to agree here. Fantasy has always been my number one choice for games. It's why I love the Zelda franchise and the Castlevania franchise so much. They give me that fantasy genre in every entry, but also take a different approach to it. I've attempted to get into Skyrim and Witcher 3, but they just can't get their hooks into me.
  8. I hate emulators. Emulation of any classic game makes me want to puke. This includes those flashback consoles that only ruined the games and ruined a lot of great memories. I'd like to wipe emulators off the face of the planet so that people would actually own the console and play it how it was supposed to be played.

    Galaxiga

Has anyone played this? It's a version of the games like Galaxian and Galaga. Which is how the devs came up with the name. I absolutely love it, and play it all the time. Some parts can be a bitch to get through, but still amazing.
  10. An update on ownership. As of late last year, I own a PS5. Actually, we have two of them, not to mention both Xbox Series X and Series S. If I was to buy a PS Vita, I would have them all. But I'm not particularly interested in the Vita, so I see no reason to spend the money.
  11. Where the hell did you find a pink PS2? The only color I know of it being released in was black. I think there was white, but I'm not sure on that one.
  12. I don't think he meant the kind of politics that would be restricted to that sub-forum, but instead as a metaphor for how things are all over the entire forums. At least, that's my guess anyway. I could be completely wrong, but only @Reality vs Adventure can confirm either way.
  13. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe he was going for some weirdass record.
  14. I never had one, but @Rain Dew did. I've tinkered with hers, and it weighs a ton. It would definitely be comparable to several text books.
  15. I think there was also someone who, instead of running, tried backflipping everywhere. I don't remember if any of it worked out for them, but considering how OoT is designed, I highly doubt they got very far.
  16. Where do you fall in on this? I landed in the above average group, which is honestly a hell of a lot better than I thought I would score. Don't give away any of the answers to anyone, I want to see how everyone scores honestly.
  17. Do they even have any kind of power to dictate what American companies can and cannot do? It seems like severe overstepping. They have authority in the UK, but not here in the states.
  18. My favorite has always been fantasy. It's why I love Zelda, Castlevania, and most Final Fantasy games. There are one-offs like Dante's Inferno and Blasphemous. Here in the last couple years I've become a huge fan of horror games, especially psychological horror like Layers Of Fear. I've never been a fan of western games, despite me being all but obsessed with RDR2. When I was a kid, I had a bad case of tunnel vision when it came to games. Nowadays I'm willing to try just about anything. Obviously I'm still a classic gamer. Not as exclusively as I once was, but still play the old stuff that kids nowadays would never know what they were looking at. I mean, name me one kid of today's world who would know what the hell an NES is.
  19. Am I going to want this? I have HFW, but only because it came preinstalled on my PS5. I’ve never actually gotten around to playing it, but that’s just because everyone said to play Zero Dawn first, and I’ve never gotten around to picking up HZD.
  20. I saw this earlier today. It seems there’s almost a nationwide celebration of him getting canned. On a completely unrelated subject, @DC why the hell am I seeing hentai advertisements on here?
  21. Probably take one look at us and see us in the same way we see rocks. Though I doubt we would have much use as building materials.
  22. I personally haven't played any of these games, but I've seen a lot of you talk about some of these. Especially Fallout 76. So I'm really wanting to hear what you all have to say about all this.
  23. Once again, I have to say that the last game I played was FF8. What can I say, I love the damn game. I'm planning on getting on my N64 here in a bit, and watching some YouTube while I'm at it.
  24. Hatred is a good example of the games they want to ban. The only place it's even available anymore is on Steam, as it's been deemed "too violent" by the masses, and as someone who plays the game, I can definitely see why. All that said, the world has become so pussy whipped, that anything that isn't all sunshine and roses is going to have a huge amount of power hungry assholes with a superiority complex that think their opinion matters and should be taken as gospel. Manhunt may get made, but don't count on any kind of official release. There's a small chance that it could be "accidentally leaked" by someone at Rockstar. But that's nothing more than wishful thinking if you ask me. The following is from Wikipedia: On July 28, 2004, the game was linked to the murder of 14-year-old Stefan Pakeerah by his 17-year-old friend Warren Leblanc in Leicestershire, England. Initial media reports claimed that police had found a copy of the game in Leblanc's bedroom. Giselle and Patrick Pakeerah, the victim's parents, claimed that the game had influenced LeBlanc and played a role in the murder. The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers' Association (ELSPA) offered sympathy to the Pakeerah family but rejected any connection between the game and the murder. ELSPA also noted that the game was rated 18 by the British Board of Film Classification and was not intended for minors. Due to controversy, the game was removed from shelves by some vendors, including Game and Dixons. In response, Rockstar reiterated that it was intended for adults and denied any link to the murder. Media speculation of a potential ban on the game increased demand for it at physical and online retailers. Giselle Pakeerah stated her disappointment over the increased interest in the game. On July 30, 2004, American attorney Jack Thompson, an advocate against violence in video games, claimed to have warned Rockstar prior to the game's release that it could inspire copycat killings. On August 2, 2004, it was reported that the Pakeerahs had hired Thompson to represent them in a £50 million wrongful death claim against Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Rockstar Games. That day, the police officially denied any link between the game and the murder, citing drug-related robbery as the motive and revealing that the game had been found in Pakeerah's bedroom, not Leblanc's as originally reported. The presiding judge placed sole responsibility with Leblanc after sentencing him to life. The Pakeerahs' case against SCE and Rockstar was dropped soon thereafter. There was renewed controversy after the announcement of Manhunt 2 in February 2007, with the Pakeerahs condemning its release. Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive issued a statement that "the Judge, defense, prosecution and Leicester police" in the case had refuted any connection to the game. Jack Thompson unsuccessfully attempted to have Manhunt 2 banned, claiming that Take-Two had lied about the incident and that police were incorrect in asserting the game had belonged to Pakeerah. If you're hoping for another release, expect a shitload of backlash and fight against the game. With the graphical capabilities that we have now, the game would be deemed more violent and brutal than ever. There would be a full on war against it. So fiscally speaking, it wouldn't be a good thing for Rockstar or Take-Two to try releasing another one in the franchise. At least not until people regrow a god damn backbone.
