The Souls/FromSoft games are diametrically opposed to cozy games in almost every way. No relaxation, punishing difficulty, bleak atmosphere, minimal guidance, and death-focused gameplay loop. Where cozy games welcome you in, Souls games actively try to drive you away until you prove yourself worthy.

Hollow Knight is fantastic for hardware testing. It's under $15, has beautiful visuals that can stress GPUs with particle effects, runs on almost anything, and you'll actually enjoy the validation process instead of just running synthetic benchmarks.

Was enjoying some City Skylines 2 where my city is currently expanding pretty quickly and has good living conditions. I don't quite know where to go with this because I've more or less built the perfect city. No crime, almost everybody is happy, taxes are low, good pay, abundant healthcare and other basic needs.
