skyfire Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Trustrank and many other similar trust specific review and rating platforms are kind of problematic due to manipulation of the reviews.

Yeah - That's true some extent because I have seen some situations where websites owners asks their visitors to give them good reviews on the reviews website.
skyfire Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Yeah the real problem comes when say you reviewed them good and in some days you want some good service or product and you know everybody out there has done the same and finding good becomes harder.
Heatman Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Seriously - It's actually why I don't really blame those who don't really trust some online reviews unless it's coming from who they know personally.
skyfire Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Yeah I go through often the video walkthroughs and also the personal recommendations too.
Heatman Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 As far as I'm concerned, personal recommendation is the best kind of recommendation that you can get for anything. It's always 100% blunt.
skyfire Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 This seems to be one popular choice among OS people.

skyfire Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Yes but I am trying to find which one would apply to my use case.
Heatman Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 I'm very sure that once you've carried out a detailed search of what you're looking for, you will definitely get it.
Syntax Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 I currently have a home network server, runs mostly Plex and other things that I would deem critical for one reason or another. do I store files on there? Yes, it has about a 8TB drive setup running Windows 10 on a old Dell power edge server.

It looks like something that I might be open to making use of as well.
