It was voted on by 50,000 Japanese citizens. Looks to be a lot of Mario/Nintendo games in the mix. But there's also games like Metal Gear Solid 3, Bloodborne, Gran Turismo and more. It's the kind of video games that makes more sense to them and it's by the most played game in Japan. It would be very difficult for another game genre to beat that.
