killamch89
Hey everyone! I've always loved animated movies, but I've heard some folks say they're just for kids. What do you think? Do you enjoy animated films regardless of age, or do you think they're primarily aimed at children? Let's discuss down below.
The Blackangel
This is like saying gaming is just for kids. It's not for everyone, but it is for someone. A lot of adults watch cartoons. And I don't mean only things like Family Guy or South Park. I still watch Popeye, Felix the Cat, He-Man, TMNT, Looney Tunes, and tons of others that I grew up on. killamch89

Same - I watch quite a bit of anime and I'm an adult in my 30s. I've been watching them since I was a kid and don't intend to stop.
The Blackangel
If animation was for kids only, I would like to meet the parent that is comfortable with their 5 year old watching Drawn Together.

I know many animation movies that are for mature audiences. Hell and Back is definitely not for kids and then there's Mary and Max - I can't even watch these in public. Kennysplash
Adults watch anime, they are not just for kids. The story behind most of them these days are even beyond the intellectual level of kids. We all have what gives us the ultimate entertainment experience. Whatever rocks anyone’s boat.
Ravenfreak
I'm going to be 34 on the 13th and I still watch animated movies. I know people older than me who also enjoy animated movies as well, so I believe animated movies are for everyone. This also goes for animated shows and anime in general too. Of course there are cartoons that are aimed towards adults that kids shouldn't be watching. killamch89
kensonplays
It depends on the movie for me. How To Train Your Dragon? Great for the entire family, kids and adults. There are some that are obviously for kids and would be boring for adults, though. Those I don't watch. At all.

They just ignorant lump everything into a kids cartoon category just because it's animated.
Lens
Animated movies are definitely for all ages. Although I'm aware that some of them are geared towards kids, but there are so many others that are made just for adults.

It's almost like the people who mistake animes for cartoons when the two of them aren't close to being the same thing. The only things they have in common is that they're both animated and they take place in fantasy worlds.

Quite a lot of People often make that mistake, thinking that animated movies or anime are only made just for the kids. But there are so many thought-provoking stories that are being told through animation and are also geared towards the adults. killamch89

The older Disney animated movies are definitely classics like The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, Snow White and The Seven Dwarves. I still watch them every now and then.
