maddyknox Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I'm in a major nostalgia mode lately and I was just thinking of how fun it used to be to play Yahoo pool or Yahoo Towers... did anyone else like their games? I so remember being around 12 and playing these games online. So fun! I miss that simplicity.
skyfire Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Are you referring to the below game? If yes that sounds closer to the tetris to me. What was so special about it?
Kane99 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 That looks like a Yahoo games lobby from back then. I never played yahoo towers though. I mostly focused my time on Yahoo pool and checkers. I got a pretty decent win loss ratio in checkers back then.
skyfire Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I too never played the tower. I kind of ignored the other games other than the pool and chess.
Spikey Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I have never gotten into Yahoo gaming. I didn't even know that it existed! What were some classic games for Yahoo gaming?
The Blackangel Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I played Yahoo pool with random people a few times. I was fairly good at it.
AndreiMirfi Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I used Yahoo before Gmail, but only for e-mail and Messenger. Never knew that they had games.

Zro Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 I can't believe other people still remember it. Is it still around? Yahoo!Games isn't what it used to be these days.
skyfire Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I don't think so. I think it must be down now. Yahoo has reduced a lot over the years. It's nnot profitable anymore I assume.
