I understand good rating does not guarantee that the game is god and poor rating does not mean the game is terrible. However, if a game has been rated badly by too many people, it is very likely that the game is bad.

It's very likely mate, you aren't mistaking thou. And their is no way I'll be headstrong to get going with such type of game when I see so much bad reviews beneath it.

I seems to be over dependent on ratings too when it comes to deciding on anything online, especially when making video game around Google play store, in careful never to waste my data.

Ratings matters, most of the apps there at Google play store are just ripped off. So, if you don't pay attention to them, you'll be ripped off too, wasting your funds in the process.

Yes, but in doing so they will take a lot of risk. They spend a lot of money on a game without checking the reviews and end up playing a bad game

There will always be risk takers out there when it comes to gamers. I think that such gamers don't worry about money too much.

I think people value money, people care about where they spend money. People will take cue from the reviews, they will check trailers, etc.
