Empire Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I don't think so as the hardware can be big. Current gen started pretty weak. Without Pro & X consoles would be very outdated. But PS5 & XSX launch with hardware much closer to current highend PC equivalents. So an mid-generation upgrade seems unnecessary.

Is their any need for the slim PS5? I don't see any need for that, provided it's functionality remains exquisite.
